“One year later, we are still thrilled with our absolute black leathered granite countertops! We just love them, everyone who sees (and feels!) them thinks they're amazing. Please know that WE ARE VERY PICKY (one of us is an engineer) and we have zero issues with the four countertops installed by American Home & Stone. We did have some misgivings about how this project would turn out, given that we have an older home that is neither square nor level. All of our countertops are perfect -- the custom edges, sink cutouts, back splashes, wall connections, under mount supports -- we honestly have no complaints. We were impressed with how the stones were cut and shimmed to fit perfectly, and were particularly pleased with the inconspicuous placement of the seam on our large kitchen counter. For us, the details absolutely matter. The entire staff was friendly & professional and answered our million and one questions; we appreciated Laureen letting us know where we could go to hand pick our own slabs (I came home with multiple free samples of stone). We would recommend AH&S to others and will definitely go back if ever doing another stone project. (Just FYI -- we suggest leathered granite to anyone who wants a lovely 'soft' or 'warm' feeling stone without a glossy finish; it's been easy to clean, doesn't get fingerprints and has been very durable -- we've had no damage to the surface or edges of any of our countertops).”
