Builders Custom Flooring

I'm in the middle of a $100,000 home renovation. I spent $4,500 for Builder’s Custom Flooring to repair the walls (post demolition of prior tilework), and install about 56 square foot of back-splash. For the record, backspash tile with installation typically costs between $10 and $40 per square foot. Their price comes to more than $80 per square foot. This is no problem for us because we wanted a top-quality job. BCF sent out someone to measure and plan the job, who works with an experienced installer. He explained exactly how the job will be done, including replacing drywall. Just prior to the job, they dropped off all the supplies on our front porch, including enough drywall to repair the walls behind the backsplash. On the day of the job, their regular (experienced) installer wasn't available, so they send out an independent general contractor who had never installed glass tile before, and arrived without a blueprint. He went to work on the job without discussing many of the details with us. Even if he had, we expected an experienced tile expert to figure out the details for us. This was the reason we payed double the typical high-end rate. When the job was "complete", the general contractor admited that he doesn’t normally do backsplashes, and has never worked with glass tile. When he completed, the drywall, intended to be used to prep the surface for tile-installation, was still sitting on the porch. The tile was installed over top of the prior demolition work, with only minor repairs. The back-splash was even installed over top of holes in the wall, and everything. It looks BAAAAD. It looks like what I could have done myself, if I had been in a hurry. Months later, they send out the owner, whose job is apparently to schmooze customers, and tell them everything they want to hear, and then, apparently, disappear... He tells us all sorts of little tidbits, such as how you should never bevel glass edges (which was done in an attempt to make the tile fit in aluminum schluter that was the wrong size for the tiles). Now, it’s been months again since the owner came out. The kitchen is completely butchered. They just called my wife today. They are going to send the same general contractor, who, again, knows nothing about this type of tile, to do a little touch-up. A little touch-up? How about coming and fixing the kitchen you butchered, starting with fixing the drywall that it is installed on? What a mess! For $4,500, do yourself a favor and find a reputable place. I just paid $80 per square foot, and I’m probably going to have to hire another company to tear it all out and start again.

This family owned business is a pleasure to work with. They listened to my questions, made good suggestions, helped me chose the best style and color of carpet for my home. I felt like a friend by the time the carpet was installed. They helped me understand why less expensive carpet, while readily available is not really a good choice. good planning, execution and follow up afterward.

I have had two levels of carpet flooring done through Builders Custom Flooring. They have been the best flooring company I have ever worked with. They really take the time to show you all of your options. They are extremely knowledgeable. They do not push a certain product or pressure you into making a purchase. They are courteous, friendly and attentive even after the sale and install. I would highly recommend them to any one. In fact I did so to my own parents. They were extremely happy as well.

BCF installed new carpeting & pad in our family room. The carpeting recommended by their salesperson, Bob Martinez, was rated as pet & stain resistance. The installers arrived at the appointed time, removed our worn carpet & pad, cleaned the sub-floor before installing the new pad & carpet. After completing the installation, they helped bring our big furniture pieces back into the room. We are quite satisfied with our decision to go with BCF.

They installed beautiful hardwood floors in our master suite, hall and two flights of stairs. I will recommend them for the superior customer service and quality installation.

Builders Custom Flooring helped remodel our master bathroom. It was absolutely beautiful and they did such a good job that I had them do the floors in the second bathroom upstairs as well. They really do great work and stand by their product. We chose a tile in the master bath shower that was rusting in the grout so Builders Custom Flooring tried everything they could to make it work but when it didn't they replaced it without any cost to us. They are wonderful.

Great service. Great price. Installers were excellent. We have hire many companies to perform work on are home that we recently purchased and BCF was the best experience out of all of them. I wish I would have found them sooner. Another local company that installed my wood floors was a disaster!

Rick at Builders Custom Flooring was very helpful in selecting the flooring we were looking for, and allowed us to take home many samples to see how they would look in our home. They sent out someone to measure, finalized our order, and scheduled dates for the work to be done. They were very professional and everything was done right on schedule.

Builders Custom Flooring did my complete condo. They tiled the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. Carpeted the master bedroom, closets and stairs down to the basement. Put hardwood floors in the living room, hallway and guest bedroom. We love the results. Excellent workmanship and good people. I would highly recommend BCF.

We purchased a house and wanted to have wood floors through out to replace the carpeting before we moved in. Builders Custom Flooring (BCF) came in and did the job exactly as we requested it. This includes having them stop for a day after removing the carpeting so my brother-in-law and I could get in to nail/screw down flooring to stop squeaks and paint the shoe molding. BCF was super accommodating in the whole project. We would ask for a change and it would be done. We would highly recommend BCF for any of your flooring needs.
