Founded in 1955 by Bob Westra, with brothers Harry and Don joining the business a few years later, Wayne Tile continues to be a family owned and operated store. From its humble beginnings in a small garage with three different colors to choose from, the company has grown in the past 50 years to be a leading distributor of tile. Today with five showrooms and design centers, and 110,000 square feet of warehouse space, Wayne Tile carries over 100 lines of tile from around the world. Hard work, being part of the community, and providing the finest quality and greatest selection of tile with quick turn around are the principles the company was founded on. Now owned and operated by the next generation, Bob Jr., Wayne, Don Jr., Timothy, Michael, Glenn and John, Wayne Tile continues to operate on its founding principles. We import the newest and nicest porcelain tile, natural stone and glass tiles from around the world. We bought the bath tile, picked it up, installed it and then realized some of it was a slightly different color which we did not notice due to the temporary lighting being used during the installation. Turns out some of it was the wrong product. We went back to the store and they did not want to help us resolve the problem. We had to drive to the distribution location to pick up the replacement tile while the contractor was removing what he had installed. Oh, they also wanted us to pay for the replacement tile which we did not do. We should be billing them for picking up the product from their warehouse and paying the contractor to do the same job twice.

I walked into Wayne Tile Sussex with a vision and an inspiration photo. Jay Burd helped me tremendously! Although I couldn't find the exact tile in the photo that I wanted, Jay was able to find tiles and other materials that made the project work. He directed me to things I couldn't see because I was fixated on inspiration photo. He didn't push me to change but gently nudged me in another direction. He opened my eyes to other possibilities without changing my vision for the room. With his recommendations, my bathroom project looks even better than the original inspiration piece.

I'm a Construction Manager for DDC in Bergen County and I've sent many many clients to Wayne Tile in both Ramsey, NJ and in Wayne, NJ. Every client has always given me great feedback from their experience with Wayne Tile. They help my clients design all of their bathrooms and kitchens with excellent results. Just walking into their showroom gives you the feeling that you're dealing with a designer showroom not just a tile supplier. Plus their prices are very competitive. Over the years I've dealt with different tile suppliers and had different problems with each of them which had forced me to look elsewhere. Since working with Wayne Tile, I have not had one issue with them and I continue to send clients, family, and friends there. They truly are the best!

I own a handyman and remodeling business in Morris County and I have brought in many clients to purchase their tile at Wayne Tile. Every single person in the store has helped me and my clients at one time or another - from design ideas to finding the right products to helping calculate quantities, they are always incredibly knowledgeable, patient and customer-focused. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. I sometimes stop in or call multiple times in a day with the same questions and everyone is willing to jump in and help with my needs. I am also happy with their selection of tiles. I have not had any customers who couldn't find something they loved at Wayne Tile.

I am an interior designer and I have been using Wayne Tile for many years. I come back again and again because they have a great selection ranging from fine and unique tile to amazing bargains. The staff is always helpful and courteous. They have a huge inventory of tile in-stock for quick jobs. Also, I really like that they post their prices for all to see. This makes it easy for me to zoom in on exactly what I'm shopping for without having to ask or wonder what everything costs. I would recommend Wayne Tile without hesitation and often do!

Commented: Differences in whiteHi Sarah, Thank you for the question. Full white is pretty solid white where half white is more grayish white. Vanilla definitely has a warmer tone, with an almost yellow cast to it.
