New York Stone
Brooklyn, NY Tile and Countertop Contractors
November 7, 2014
“I visited and spoke to all the high end stone dealers in the New York area and New York Stone was by far the best. Their warehouse in Jersey City is astounding in its inventory and their prices were the most reasonable...and arguably the most beautiful and unique slabs.”
Wild English Stoneworks LLC
Brooklyn, NY Tile and Countertop Contractors
November 11, 2014
“We had a great experience with Wild English Stoneworks. First, they worked with the stone yard to negotiate a great deal for slabs that had a crack in them - we needed an extra slab to deal with this issue, but they found a way to make it work both from a layout and a price perspective. Then they did an incredibly skilled and careful job laying out the particular slabs to line up the pattern of the stone on a waterfall, u-shaped counter. Installation and finishing went perfectly. And, they were very quick, communicative, and responsive through the whole process. Highly recommended.”

“Initial visit to the Manhasset showroom was a very pleasant experience. Very friendly and helpful sales person--Susan. A lot of well-organized bins of tile.”
Motawi Tileworks
Brooklyn, NY Tile and Countertop Contractors
December 2, 2014
“We used Motawi field and polychrome tiles in two kitchen backsplashes, and polychrome tiles decoratively in the tilework in a half bath. Motawi was extremely easy to work with and very patient with our requests. The tile is handmade to order so it is important to allow lead time. The price for the field tiles was a bit daunting but you get tiles selected to match to your criteria as to pattern, darkness of glazing, and tile-to-tile variation, and they even send you a few extra tiles! For my relatively small kitchen backsplashes, darker-towards-the-edges glazing of each tile adds subtle interest. We created "borders' using half-height tiles offset by half a tile width to avoid the "busy-ness" from using border tiles of a contrasting color. The triptych above the stove mimics the view behind the condo which is visible from the kitchen. Seven years after the renovation the tilework still gives me daily pleasure - absolutely worth the cost! For the bathroom, we used Motawi polychrome tiles placed as accents set among typical commercially-available field tile (to save money). We debated using more polychrome tile accents in both the bathroom and the kitchen, but in the end opted for simplicity, which was the right decision. Hubbardton Forge fixtures complement the tiles. The attached snapshots are poorly lit and do not do the tilework justice, but they give a rough idea of the project.”
112 Glass House
Brooklyn, NY Tile and Countertop Contractors
March 25, 2015
“The design work and production of the glass creations here are not to be believed. The artist does her work on time, as promised, with skill and tremendous creativity in her made to order products. I am proud to show people the products that I have commissioned. They have added enormous value to my home. Without hesitation, I would recommend 112 Glass House to anyone that is looking for beautiful glass mosaic work.”

JM Lifestyles
Brooklyn, NY Tile and Countertop Contractors
October 25, 2012
“We have worked with J&M Lifestyles on a number of projects as well as partnering together in trade shows. Their custom made concrete countertops are so different and unique. The detail and craftsmanship is exquisite. You get the wonderful look of natural wood or stone with the durability of concrete, making it pair especially well with Sub-Zero Wolf outdoor products. Jeff and Michelle are great to work with and we have welcomed them as part of our Sub-Zero Wolf family; we both have the same values when it comes to our customer service, we will go above and beyond to give our customers a high quality product and one of a kind attention. We are looking forward to partnering together again this year at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show in NYC!”
