Davie Mac Tile
Tile & Stone Contractors in Woonsocket
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJuly 12, 2017
“Davie and his Dad more than exceeded our expectations regarding our bathroom floor tile job. Our home was built in 1976 and the main bathroom still had the original tile. You can imagine after 40 plus years of use by many occupants including children, what a deplorable condition the floor was in. Well after interviewing several flooring contractors we decided to have Davie Mac Tile perform the task. Throughout the process, Davie and Mr. Santos were extremely professional. They conducted their work in a clean and efficient manner. The end result was of high quality and esthetically pleasing. So if you are seeking high quality workmanship, at a reasonable price, with an ease to do business with, Davie Mac Tile should be your contractor of choice. Gene and Claudia Reading, MA”

“They came in and did demo due to the old wood rotting face, of the bath. In which had an awkward step in resulting in knee or foot pain while going in or going out. Due to height issues. They then added a step and amazing tile work and this resolved so many issues and looks fantastic!!”
Seacoast Tileworks
Tile & Stone Contractors in Woonsocket
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsNovember 12, 2013
“Seacoast Tileworks, Marc Audette, is the most trusted name in tileworks on the SouthCoast. Marc has done numerous jobs for me and my friends and we all can't wait to show the others what he's created this time. His is anal about perfection in his work. A trusted craftsman, leave him in your home with no worries, you'll be amazed at what he's accomplished in your absence. Whether it be tile floors, back splashes or a complete bathroom rehab, put your trust in Marc. His prices are also very fair considering the quality of his work.”
Pecks Flooring America

“While renovating our home we overlooked scheduling the replacement of the carpets on the entire second floor. We had only a week before the carpets had to be installed without causing major delays to the schedule. I contacted Peck's as they were highly recommended by our contractor and they were local. I explained our oversight to Pam at Peck's and she and the staff could not have been more understanding and professional. We picked out the carpeting, they had the rooms measured immediately and were able to get the carpets installed on time and without interrupting the renovation schedule. And to top it all off the price was extremely competitive and the workmanship and quality of the instLlation was exceptional. We have also contracted with Peck's for our kitchen tilting and once again they were very competitive. Pam's expertise and design knowledge was very helpful to us in selecting tile and patterns to give us the look we wanted. We are very happy with Peck's. Their selections are great, prices are competitive, workmanship is exceptional and they are a pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend them.”
Boston Stone Restoration
Tile & Stone Contractors in Woonsocket
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsNovember 7, 2016
“I've used Boston Stone Restoration multiple times to seal my granite. They are very professional and really know their stone. One instance I had left something on my granite counter tops for a week while I was away and it left a stain. I could not get the stain out. I originally called a different company who came and said they could get the stain out. They required me to pay up front but did not get the stain out only made it lighter. They told me there was no way to remove the stain because we had waited too long. I then saw the owner, Paul, on this old house as an expert in stone restoration. So I called Paul at Boston Stone Restoration and he was able to remove the entire stain as if it were never there. I could not believe it. He also did not overcharge me because I this point I would have paid anything. While the other company attempted to scrub at the stain, Paul knew exactly how to treat the stone. The stain was located in a place that your eye went to so I really thought at some point I was going to have to replace my entire countertops until Boston Stone Restoration came and fixed it. I would definitely recommend them. It is hard to find people that are honest, qualified, personable and reasonably priced for the quality!”

“I am an Interior Designer and I recently finished a large job with Lafauci Tile. Not only is their installation flawless, but they are extremely knowledgeable regarding design and care of the tiles. Their showroom is wonderful and if there is something you do not see, they will find it for you. In addition, their pricing is reasonable compared to other shops in the area. Overall, an excellent experience working with them.”
S&W Tile
Tile & Stone Contractors in Woonsocket
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsDecember 7, 2014
“Considering the underlying issues that were found during demolition, everything went remarkably well! First, as noted elsewhere, Wes does charge $75 for a rough estimate. However, it was well worth it. Not only did he show up exactly on-time for the estimate, he spent a good hour or so going through many of the details with me. He told me upfront that there were likely more significant issues going on behind the wall -- and, boy, was he correct. At the time, he recommended that we replace the entire shower, estimated at around $10,000 plus tile. Several months later, I decided to formally enlist S&W Tile's services. Wes again visited us conveniently on a Saturday to walk through the job in even more detail. We spent almost two hours planning out the job and refining logistics. He suggested I plan ahead and buy new seals for all the plumbing fixtures and shower doors, which turned out to be a very good idea given their lead time. He then gave me a firm date of when he would start (approximately four weeks later) and estimated that the job would take four-to-five days. At this point we made a down payment of $3,000. Sure enough, a week and a half before the job was to begin, Wes contacted me to let me know that he had a cancellation and could start the job a week early, if it was convenient to us. We agreed, and Wes arrived on time the following Monday morning to begin. With his prior guidance, we had the area thoroughly prepped for his work. On Monday afternoon, Wes called to give me a status update and sent me videos of some of the demolition progressed. As alluded to earlier, he found significant problems. Within five years of the initial installation, the structure of the shower seat had completely rotted away. Furthermore, the copper drain pan that we had installed (which we thought was a good idea) had been installed incorrectly, preventing water from draining. When Wes got to the pan, he found about four inches of stagnant standing water in the pan. The level of rot found and some added difficulty in saving the existing granite bench resulted in a relatively small change order of $1500. As the week pressed on, things went a little smoother. On Day Two, we had to purchase some additional tile, but Wes was kind enough to pick it up for us. We also had to coordinate debris removal separately, which S&W Tile did not provide but assisted with. Throughout the week of their work, I came home to a very clean and organized job site. Tools were neatly put away, drop clothes were removed, and all the areas were swept clean. Very high marks for cleanliness! All in all, we are quite happy with the process, the workmanship, and the results.”
Tiles Plus More

“Tiles Plus More is a terrific resource for my business. A visit to this store is part of our selection process for every kitchen and bath, mudroom and laundry that we design and install here at KitchenVisions. I value their expertise and enormous breadth of knowledge. It is a busy showroom and given all the goings-on, they have ample, (smiling...who finds that anymore?) staff who are always available to help and direct us to new products as well as the standards (3 x 6 subway tile, anyone?). There is a huge selection of beautiful ceramic, porcelain, marble, stone and glass tiles as well as bath and kitchen accessories. I cannot imagine not being able to find the perfect tile for my projects. Their tiles are the 'jewelry', that makes our projects shine that much brighter. I recommend them highly! Jodi Swartz, owner/designer, KitchenVisions.”

Frangioso Granite Co. Inc.
Tile & Stone Contractors in Woonsocket
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsMarch 15, 2016
“Frangioso did a great job. The designer's advice in choosing our countertop material (granite) was very helpful. After measuring for the new top they suggested resizing the countertop -- which made the layout more efficient. The installer took the time to explain maintenance of the granite. We were very helpful with everyone involved in the process.”
