MC GRANITE damaged our quartzite during installation, cut quartzite too short during fabrication, and didn't measure correctly at pre-home measure before installation. Owner, Lombera guaranteed that his company, MC GRANITE would replace all our quartzite for free due to his installers damaging our quartzite, quartzite cut too short, and incorrectly measuring for placement against a wall. Installation was June 2022 and now its OCT 2022 and we've been without a functional kitchen for 5 months. We paid in full. MC GRANITE has our money but refuses to honor their word to replace all our quartzite. Has MC GRANITE owner, Lombera gone rogue? Presently, the owner has refused to communicate and or work with us in getting our quartzite replaced.

I visited this place a few weeks ago looking for my new countertop, and they have plenty of options right there to choose from; the inventory is massive. We also had the opportunity to walk through the fabrication area, and they have state-of-the-art technology to cut, polish, and treat the stones.
Highly recommend Teresa to help you with your project. She guides us on the entire process.

Terrible customer service, the saleswomen was super rude. Our granite was cut incorrectly, and it took 4 weeks to resolve. The supervisor tried to blame me for their mistake and charged me before my job was even done. The whole process was super frustrating, I would recommend going somewhere else

The process went fairly well. The salesperson was extremely helpful. There were a few glitches with the installment process. One of the guys didn't seal a section properly but once we reported it to the store manager, they sent someone out the next day to properly seal it. (The guy's heating device broke and he used our hairdryer on the first day which wasn't effective.) So we appreciate that the management resolved everything. They also reassured us that if anything comes up in the future we can get repairs from them. Great customer service! Beautiful granite.

We visited 4 different granite/marble/quartzite,quartz suppliers across town. In my estimation MC Granite had an above average selection of products, including several exotics. I was pleased to find my ultimate selection of quartzite here. Unfortunately, the service I received from the sales and operations staff was very disappointing. I placed a deposit on a slab of quartzite and my unique slab was reserved. My name, date and square footage (36 sq. ft.) was prominently displayed on the front of the slab.
Upon returning 10 days later I discovered that my reserved slab had 2 feet cut vertically off the entire end of the slab. This was a problem as I specifically requested a straight 10 foot section for my project with no seam and this was documented in my paperwork.
When I brought the issue of my slab being compromised to the attention of the salesperson they were unapologetic, and commenced to inform me that all slabs from that lot would be very similar so it shouldn't make a difference. After arguing this point for a few minutes (again no apology or recognition of my frustration) I decided to look through the other slabs for a replacement. So I had to spend the next two hours of my time having their staff move slab after slab so I could find a new one that was similar to my original selection. Of course, as suspected, I could not find one that was very close so I had to settle for something that would have to do.
Their staff came out to template my project and were very efficient and professional. I returned to MC the next day to speak with the gentleman that would actually be cutting my slab and aligning the seam (post 10'). He was patient and we agreed on the sections of the slab he would cut from in order to produce the 10' straight section and then align the seam with an additional angled section. The templating process had gone pretty well and this was the only bright spot in the entire experience.
Then a few days later I received a call from someone I had never spoken to and she informed me that I had to pay for an additional 2 sq. ft. as I suppose the original salesman did not calculate the dimensions correctly from the schematics we handed him. I explained my frustration to this representative regarding the original service failure on the slab selection and asked that she request management to waive the additional charge given my dissatisfaction to that point. She also informed me that they could not guarantee where the seam would be placed on the slab once it was cut. I was very disappointed that there were no notes in my file regarding the debacle with the first slab or confirming that I met with their cutting technician to discuss the placement of the seam, etc.
Without acknowledgement of this conversation I received an emailed invoice the next day for the additional 2 sq. ft. I replied and gave them one more opportunity to waive the fee or I was going to cancel my $3,400 order. Subsequently they waived the additional charge.
On the final day of installation the quartzite was delivered and placed into position. Cuts, angles and seams looked good overall and I was relieved. However, once the seam was cured the installation team was about to leave before I noticed several "pits" and "scratches" that needed to be repaired with epoxy. I realize these imperfections can occur but they are required to fix these blemishes before leaving. Once I pointed them out they continued to work on them for another 1 1/2 hours before completing the install. I was amazed that they were going to leave before ensuring the surface was clean and free of any imperfections.
Final product looks good and I am overall pleased with the way it looks but the frustration, extra time, and anxiety I experienced would prevent me from recommending this company to a friend or colleague.

Comment from MC Granite Countertops:
MC Granite would like to take the time to thank you for your review. We use opportunities such as this as a learning experience to grow and get better in the future. Regarding your specific job, please note that at our facility, customers purchase only the SF that they need, not the entire slab. As the original salesperson did not make any notes on the slab regarding a long run with no seams, it was determined that a portion of the slab could be used to finish another job as your job had only 32 SF. On the evening that you visited and noticed that the slab was cut, please note that our representative on duty attempted to rectify the situation by having you choose another slab. As your original slab had been cut, this was the only option available. She thought it best for you to find a second slab at that time as you were the only customer present, which guaranteed personal attention and minimizing any additional frustration. Regarding the installation, our installers do try to catch all issues, but we do ask customers to review and then sign off once any issues are resolved. Once again, we thank you for taking the time to submit this review.
Great selection. Was more than pleased with the gentleman who came out to measure and provided advice on how to do the overhang on the sink. The installers were also very professional and provided advice on how to clean and take care of the granite. Very impressed with this company on all aspects of their service and will certanitly use them again.
