“Skydell Contracting did an amazing job. Although this was a Master Bath renovation, the project could be viewed as new construction. What a fabulous project this bathroom came to be. The project managers and the staff at Skydell were always professional. When issues did arise, the owner Richard Skydell was immediately there to ascertain the problem and was quick to offer options. We had some of our own ideas that were always welcomed. We would certainly recommend these folks who can handle everything for your home. The bathroom involved total demolition of the existing bath, new insulation and walls. New plumbing, water closet, installation of carrera stone work, electrical and all woodwork. We are very happy with the outcome.”

“We can’t say enough about the amazing way Alison renovated our 1960’s house from an outdated design that did not meet our needs to a beautifully functional design that we now love! We renovated our kitchen and two bathrooms, which can be a daunting task when the situation seems hopeless and you don’t know where to start. Alison brought a holistic approach to the design, creating a functional space that was consistent with the period of the house. She made sure the design worked well with the adjacent space, and helped us with every detail along the way including selection of tile, plumbing fixtures, flooring, appliances, etc… Our kitchen and our master bath were both extremely space challenged and very dated. Somehow Alison found space where there wasn't any before. Our master bath was a postage stamp sized cubicle with a closet style shower and 1960s green tile. Alison had the vision to expand that space into an adjacent closet while maximizing our other closet space in the master bedroom. She designed a beautiful walk-in shower with waterfall tiling and a new expanded vanity, which allows my wife and I to use the bathroom at the same time. We now have an expansive walk-in closet in our master bedroom without sacrificing significant space in the master bedroom. Our kitchen may have been even more of a challenge than our bathroom and the changes that Alison made completely transformed the functionality and beauty of the kitchen. We started with a 1960's galley kitchen with original cabinets, very limited storage space, an undersized oven, and laminated countertops that were space constrained with our microwave and other appliances. Cooking together in our old kitchen was an impossible task as we were constantly bumping into each other. Alison's vision for our kitchen included bumping out the kitchen wall adjacent to our dining room and using the space where the wall had been for new gas cooktop, serving area and additional cabinets. The dining room side of the expansion now includes beautiful glass cabinets that display our formal china. Alison totally reorganized the flow of the kitchen to allow several people to work in the kitchen comfortably. She expanded the entrance from our living room into the kitchen giving it a much more open feel. We now have over twice the amount of cabinet space we previously had and numerous features that make the kitchen far more functional. We are extremely grateful to Alison for make our home so much warmer and more beautiful.”

“We hired Blue Lotus last summer to help design our new master bathroom renovation and supply the cabinets. The bath needed to be taken down to the studs so every element had to be worked out. I knew the tile I wanted and the stone but needed help with everything else. The first thing Tracy recommended was to take out the small linen closet. It shocked me and added greatly to the material and construction cost, but it's the best thing we did. Ended up with a bigger shower and more storage room. Tracy managed the process, helping to choose the contractor, help me make decisions on time, then scheduling the main contractor's steps with the other suppliers. The finished bathroom is solid and beautiful and fits right in with our reproduction farmhouse.”

“Cooking and eating in our renovated kitchen is a pleasure! Friends and family agree. We owe a great deal to Tracey's design, her unerring eye for color, texture, shape, and light, and her skill in solving problems as they arise, often one step ahead of them. Design Line Kitchens

“Nicole is very knowledgeable about the product lines (cabinet handles and knobs) that she sells. And she has a great eye for design and what type, style, color and size of handles and knobs go with each type of cabinet finish and door style. She is always professionally dressed, articulate and provides great customer service. I chose a knob that was expensive. She showed me a very similar and less expensive one, knowing that I was trying to save money. I stuck with my original choice cause I only needed 6 and the overall cost was just $30 more. I would highly recommend Design Line Kitchens for any kitchen or bathroom job you may have. They make the cabinets on site. They have very talented designers, which they do for free. Other contractors require a 50% deposit before they will give you a design. How would you know you will like their design? Design LIne Kitchens give syou 2-3 desgns to choose from according to your specifications, and adjusts the design you choose according to your wishes. I went in the store one day, desinger came out the next, had a design in less than a week. The owner, Steve Egan came to measure and gave me a detailed full cost estimate within 2 days. He is so impressive, I hired him to be my General Contractor on a complete condo, 1900 sq/ft/ renovations. He has a reputation for delivering on time, and he does. He promised me 6-8 weeks and was done in 7 . This is the most complex renovation I've done and the only one to come in on time and on the money. If you want a perfectionist, and the job done the right way, the first time, Hire Design Line Kitchens. I went to 2 other contractors. His prices are fair, his work excelllent and fast. Everyone who comes to my place loves it. I know Design Line will get lots of new jobs as a result!.”
