Hiring Aimee was, without a doubt, the best decision we made. She served as both our home designer and our project manager, and we honestly do not know how we would have executed our vision on time and on budget without her guidance. Visionary Design with Mid-Century Flair Aimee deeply engaged with us to understand our lifestyle and vision. The result is a home that is not just beautiful but also highly functional for our family (pets included!). Our goal was to honor the home's mid-century roots, and Aimee excelled at finding ways to incorporate mid-century flair throughout the entire design. She even designed custom wooden slat walls that lent a unique and eye-catching detail to our home. Project Scope Highlights: * Primary Suite Addition: Added a small addition to create a new primary bathroom and walk-in closet. Spacious Eat-In Kitchen: Gutted and combined the existing kitchen and dining room to create a large, open-concept eat-in kitchen with an expansive island. * Vaulted Ceiling & Skylights: Raised and vaulted the kitchen ceiling and installed skylights, dramatically brightening the space. Updates: Comprehensive updates to the guest bathroom, living room, and the fireplace in the new dining area. Project Management & Guidance Beyond her incredible design work, Aimee was a valuable coach and guide throughout the entire process. She helped us navigate the complex task of hiring a general contractor and was a constant source of support through all the ups and downs of renovation. She visited the renovation site frequently and kept in close contact with our foreman. As a result, our project wrapped on time. Cost-Conscious & Strategic Spending We especially appreciated Aimee's commitment to our budget. She was extremely cost-conscious, helping us to be strategic about our spending. She guided us on where to spend for the most "bang for our buck" and where we could save without compromising the overall design integrity.
