If you want customer service, a custom and unique design while being mindful of the environment, hands down, I'd hire AMD! I honestly don't think we could have done it without him. He really helped us understand how to design our home to fit our lifestyle. The result is so functional and beautiful. There were several problem areas that we were struggling to decide how to design. Joseph had some brilliant ideas for solving the problems, and each of them was implemented easily. “As first-time homebuilders (and me having no experience at all!), Hans was able to make all of our dreams and ideas come true, and if ever there was an issue, he explained very simply the problem of why that exact idea wouldn't be possible, but always still offered 2 or 3 similar options. Very calm, explains as much or as little as you want, and very eager to listen. Even when we had trouble with the city, he went out of his way to make it right to make sure we got our dream home! All his deadlines were met, but unfortunately an outside engineer he used slowed the process down quite a bit. You can never plan for everything, so slow-downs and hold-up's like engineers' personal problems have to be expected, I guess! Cost was what we expected for such a prestigious architect in the region, but we still ended up saving money in the long run by going with him right from the get-go.”
