“Ariel has such a light hand and does everything with such ease! My partner and I were overwhelmed with trying to quickly furnish our new home and starting with almost nothing. I tend to overthink every decision, so I really needed help bringing together a cohesive design and be confident in our decision making. This was also at the time that everything was out of stock, and Ariel was able to source items that were almost all entirely in stock. Ariel really listened to the exact requirements we had for our unique space and made sure that each piece would fit just right, with an emphasis on quality and longevity. More importantly, she helped us be brave when it came to bold design decisions. A dark and moody dining space is not something we would have ever thought of on our own, let alone been confident enough to execute. It ended up being the most stylish corner in our home, has such a Chicago vibe, and continues to be the source of inspiration for or other design decisions. Ariel really helped us quickly get from zero (literally only a mattress on the floor) to fully furnished in a matter of a couple of months. We are still putting together finishing touches and decorative elements, and Ariel's online design resources are really helpful for that as well.”

“Very generous designer who made my tiny rental feel spacious and bright! So grateful for Jenn’s excellent list of recommendations she offered me within 24 hours after seeing my home. She helped me realize that my space doesn’t have to be or feel small by changing a few simple things such as, painting the interior, raising all the curtain rods to make my ceiling feel higher, layer cowhides on the cold tiled floor, moved my paintings around that made more sense to view, helped me find beautiful decorative pillows, dining table and chairs, and the most comfy modern chair and ottoman we all fight over to sit in and most importantly she suggested many choices to choose from to change out all the old dated light fixtures. I learned that investing in great curtains, sconces to lamp shades would be worth the investment since I can take them with me if and when I ever move. My home now feels spacious, fun and festive to visit and a whole lot bigger and brighter because I used every single one of Jenn’s innovative ideas. Loved her smart suggestions and felt she respected my small budget and made it work besides making my cozy place a place all my friends and family love to visit. ““When we first began the process of starting over with our dated, 70s kitchen, we knew it would take more than looking at a handful of home magazines to figure out what would work. Enter Steve – who saw the potential for our medium-sized space, and suggested things we didn’t consider. That’s why you hire a designer; he has the expertise to know how to configure a space based on how it will be used. From the materials to the cabinets, to recommendations for appliances, Steve was able to help us execute the vision we had for the kitchen into two other rooms. Given a choice between ‘making due’ with an inefficient existing layout, and going the extra mile to transform it into the heart of the house, we didn’t hesitate. It was worth the effort!”

“Impluvium listened to my spiritual desires to create a contemporary space that made guests feel instantly welcome while providing function for everyday life. I described a desire that my home subliminally feel like a space where East meets West. Many visitors comment on how "happy", comfortable, and Zen like my home is. Mission accomplished thanks to Tim Haley! The project involved an extensive remodel of my 3 bedroom/2 bath townhouse inclusive of footprint expansions (addition of ~75 sq. ft.), relocation of all plumbing and electrical, removal of demising wall, new windows, doors and skylights, and creative solutions designed to maximize space. In particular, Impluvium not only designed an aesthetically beautiful ceiling in the great room, but it also provides layers of light for multiple uses at all times of the day and night, functionally it is a chase which delivers the in-home sound system and HVAC system, and it masks the new structural beam required when the demising wall was removed. The accuracy and completeness of Impluvium's design and architectural drawings were instrumental in expediting HOA approvals and permits.”
