“Buddy Smith is a glass artist that gives his clients a complete service, from design to installation. Buddy spends the time necessary for consulting and designing to make sure that his clients get what they're looking for, often exceeding expectations. This is evident by the long term relationships he has with many of his clients. Although much of his glass art has the feeling of free flowing motion, all of his work is done with precision. I am a metal fabricator and from time to time Buddy asks me to fabricate a structural frame to support some of his larger glass panels. I know the importance of my work, and to maintain his standards for the kind of finished work he produces. Buddy does his work with the attitude of an artist that cares a great deal about every piece of art he creates, and the quality of his workmanship is a standard that other glass artists strive to achieve. “We hired Mike to work on our old spa that had a waterfall feature. He was wonderful to work with, even with us changing the scope of work on him multiple times. He is an artist first, contractor second, so it was great to deal with someone who focused on getting us the desired look while still using his contractor know-how to execute the project. Mike himself is personable, reliable and honest. While he had other projects he was working on in addition to ours, we never felt that we were left on the backburner.”
