R & A did an excellent job. I was very happy with the efficiency and the quality of the work. Rosemary worked around my budget and answered all of my questions from start to finish. Great team to work with they showed a consistent attention to detail, they were on schedule and communicated effectively with me. I highly recommend this company and this was my second time hiring R & A for my home.
Structural Repair & Renovations

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJuly 8, 2020
We developed serious drainage issues when a large house was built on a hill above our home. What had been a grassy drainage ditch was suddenly a flowing torrent of water after heavy rains. Ken Fraine designed a drainage ditch using river rock. His crew did a wonderful installation job. The ditch has kept the water flow contained during heavy rain. A definite plus has been that it is a great addition to our landscaping.
NV Kitchen and Bath

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsOctober 13, 2014
We've wanted to get our kitchen updated for years, but we weren't quite sure who we wanted to trust with the job. We contacted a lot of different remodeling companies but we put more confidence in NV Kitchen and Bath due to their willingness to work with our budget and who they are as a company. Sean was a pleasure to work with. Even before we decided to choose them, he came to our house twice to follow up with us and gave us somw great options on how we should re-design our kitchen. I really appreciated their patience. I must have emailed them 100 times and Sean or one of his colleagues always got back to me right away. Even around 9pm! When they started working on our kitchen they came by several times to check on thw progress and to make sure my family and I were satisfied with their work. I was also very pleased with the amount of time they finished. I told them we would need them to finish up in about a week and they did everything they could to finish within my time frame. The work did not look rushed at all. Very solid quality and fast! Do not hesitate to hire them, they really know what they are doing!

PACE is a one of a kind design + build firm. I just can’t say enough good things about them! First off, they do great work and do it in a very transparent and fair way. The customer service is off the charts, the quality of their craftsmanship is incredible, and the overall experience of working with true professionals in the building and remodeling industry is so valuable to the success of a project. Between Seth, Jordan, Terris, Yuri, Brad and the rest of the crew, you won’t be sorry to have chosen this company for your next Project. Thanks for everything!!
VKB Kitchen & Bath

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsNovember 2, 2014
We found VKB to be a great choice for our full master bathroom remodel. They provided their estimate quickly and out of the 3 other quotes we received for this project they were the least expensive. The work was done with care, especially the tile work, which took longer than expected but only because the workers were careful and meticulous with their detail. We were short some tile, and in these cases they clearly told me what I needed to go get, which was much appreciated. The allowances in the budget for the fixtures and mirrors and such were generous; in fact, we decided to buy our own at Home Depot and received a credit. We relied on VKB to arrange the vanity/counter and shower door, both of which came out much better than expected. My only criticism would be a few minor details were missed, such as the drawer hardware, which came later and had to be installed separately. Overall, however, we were very happy with VKB and would certainly look to them again if we were considering any other work.

Hassle Free Home Improvements

The crew was on time every morning and worked at least part of every day during the period. Length of day depended on what materials had been delivered, whether there was wet paint or spackling that had to be allowed to dry, etc. Our contract called for the work to be done in seven weeks and it was done in six. The final cost was very close to the original estimate and we were notified of any adjustments, plus or minus, when they occurred, so there were no surprises or sticker shock. For example, Steve suggested changing the original plan by moving the toilet to a better location, which would open the bathroom up much more and make it noticeably larger. It was a great idea, but there was a slight additional cost for plumbing and we were told this before the change was made and we approved it. By the same token, an original plan to build a new closet in the adjoining room was dropped and there was a corresponding reduction in the costs. Mickey made two or three visits to our house to scope out possible plans for the new bathroom long before work began. He also spent an entire day with us visiting the various shops that sold the materials we needed, including counter tops, tile, and plumbing fixtures. He also ordered cabinets and other materials to our specifications. The quality of the work was first rate and we are very happy with the new bathroom, closet and hallway. There were some minor fixes and touch ups that were needed in the days following completion of work, and someone was here promptly each day to complete them until we were satisfied. The crew deserves special praise for their excellent work, terrific attitude, professionalism and friendliness. If you are going to have people working in your house for six weeks, these are the kind of guys you want doing the work. We became friends with all of them and will have them back for more work this year. All in all, we could not be happier with Hassle Free Home Improvements and highly recommend the company.
Eight Brothers

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJune 29, 2021
We have used Eight Brothers for two major projects. both projects were a great success and we are very happy with the outcome. The first project, stripping and renovating a two story stucco wall, was completed almost 10 years ago. The wall looks as good as it did the day they completed it. We recently hired Eight Brothers to remove the grout between a section of a 15 year old glass block wall in our shower and remove mold the recently developed and re-grout. such amazing craftsmanship. looks like the wall was never touched - mold removed and new perfect grout. I can't tell where the grout was removed and replaced. Eight Brothers also painted the exterior of our house. They were the only painter ( of the three painters who quoted the job) who knew that there is a special paint used for stucco houses. I knew the special paint and was shocked the other painters did not know. Eight Brothers also advised us that we needed to add a few special features in the stucco to prevent stress and cracking in the stucco. They added the special features. We were so thrilled with their work we kept adding more and repairs we wanted them to do. ALL work done to satisfaction. Amazing craftsmanship. Every interaction was very professional and respectful. PM.
HawksNest Services

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsFebruary 8, 2022
Brad at HawksNest Services did a great job remodeling our basement. He took my basic sketches and ideas and executed above and beyond our expectations. Communication was fantastic throughout the project. He set expectations, and we discussed various challenges and work-arounds that came up in the process. He always had couple solutions available to any challenge, and quickly took care of the adjustments. All his subcontractors were very professional and solid craftsmen. We have worked with a few contractors on our home. This was by far the best experience we've had. I can't imagine a better guy to work with than Brad.
