“We hired Dover Home Remodelers for a basement project 9 years ago. We had a vague idea of what we wanted to do with our basement and Dover's professionals really showed us what we could get out of it. We were able to add another full bathroom, a kitchenette, a new laundry room and plenty of space for our growing family. What we really enjoyed about working with Dover was that they spelled everything out ahead of time, they met their deadlines and budgets, and when they ran into difficulties they worked with us to actually improve upon the original design. It has been 9 years but we still get nothing but complements on our remodel project. We cannot recommend their work enough.”

“We have had two major projects completed with the Alberino Team within 5 years! The first job was an extensive remodel and reconfiguring of a 1956 home to update and give the place a new look and feel with custom features throughout. The second job was pretty much a complete gutting of the entire home including all plumbing, electric, furnace, ducts, insulation, etc. after fire and water damaged the property. The core Alberino team is stable, professional, and dedicated. Each team member is an expert in their part of the job and committed to making sure the work is exactly the way you want it. Joe Alberino and his fellow team member, Dan, are wonderful tradesmen and both made many beautiful custom pieces for our home. The company tradesmen are up to date on installing all the latest trends as well as being equipped to restore historical work on older homes. They will stay in your discussed budget and give you an accurate timeline. We hired them twice due to the workmanship and professionalism. They work well as a team and their many years working together shows in the way they get the job completed within the timeframe discussed.”

I have watched transformations in houses many would have torn down to build new, instead to see transformations that make you want to hire cornerstone. “I hired Lost Pond to rebuild a small upstairs bathroom with a tub/shower that was failing after 20 years of use. I am now retired from an electrical industry electrical engineering position. I was an engineer, supervisor, project manager, program manager and created two standalone businesses from repeatable projects. So I wrote a specification for the job. Overkill? Yes but it was how I had been taught to do a project. Jeff responded promptly with a detailed bid that hit all the points. He even politely pointed out where my requirements violated the laws of physics. I agreed to a contract but had to hit the pause button while I had some medical issues addressed. That is behind me now and we have completed the job much to my satisfaction. Where there bumps in the road? Again yes but all were promptly addressed and solutions implemented. The employees of Lost Pond were all quite professional and knowledgeable. They worked hard and long. I have a much larger rebuild of my over-the-hill kitchen planned and you can be sure that Lone Pond will be the first I ask for a quote.”

“Chris, the owner of Cobblestone Construction, does most of the work. He has one primary helper, Matt, and a few others on his crew for easier parts of the job. If I use one work to describe Chris, it's "perfectionist." This is a guy who doesn't believe in using thresholds/transition pieces when moving from one type of flooring to the next. Instead, he wants the two floors to be perfectly flush. Pros: 1. Highly detail oriented. 2. He'll do what you want, but he always brings his professional knowledge to the table to try and steer you away from decisions that you'll later regret. 3. He's happy to take the time to teach you about what he's doing. 4. He leaves a white board on site to tell you exactly what was accomplished that day. 5. He's just a pleasure to work with and talk to. 6. My dog liked him. Yeah, it sounds ridiculous, but I'd rather have someone in the house the dog liked than someone the dog didn't like. The only con is that he's often more expensive than the average contractor. Understand, you typically get what you pay for. Here, you're paying for excellent A+ work. On a second job, his bid came in 25% higher than another bid we received, and we ended up going with the 2nd guy. That 25% was the difference between what turned out being C+/B- work and what would have undoubtedly been A+ work.”
