“My wife and I had an excellent experience working with JP throughout our complete home renovation. He was able to complete our total renovation on time (4 months) and on budget. My wife is a pretty decisive person and had a lot of ideas about what finishes she wanted etc. JP would listen and either agree or would offer an alternative that was either more in line with our budget or something he found to be well liked by other homeowners he has worked with. JP was onsite and very accessible. The website he uses allowed me to track the financials on a daily basis. It also allowed us to be involved in the communication between JP and his sub-contractors so we would get real time updates about the status of a particular job. When we were evaluating contractors we were looking for 3 things: 1. Someone with Integrity 2. Someone with Good Communication Skills who is Accessible 3. Someone with Experience We hit a home run with JP. I can't say enough good things about our experience. If/when we build or renovate another home JP will be our guy!”

“We had both a complete bathroom renovation and a basement renovation. The bathroom consisted of gutting the bathroom to the studs and rebuilding the entire room. The basement consisted of adding cabinets, a sink, and a counter/bar area. Both jobs stayed within alloted budget and their design team was wonderful. We recommend J and R Construction to anyone in the Lexington. KY area.”

“We had great fun working with Kim. We were new to renovation with the task of creating a livable space in an underutilized attic. Kim started tossing ideas our way, but only after listening to what we were interest in and what we wanted to pay. It's nice working with someone who listens and doesn't just stick to their own agenda. The result is a bright, open airy space we all enjoy, especially our guests who we usually toss up there!”

““From the moment I saw Alan’s sample portfolio I knew I was dealing with a genuine professional. We initially brought Alan a sample plan we had drawn up, but realized that plan would cut off our view of the beautiful trees throughout the property, and (because I am a artist) I also needed to have an art studio built in somehow. A few weeks later, Alan showed us his idea—to angle the garage (instead of taking it straight back) which would completely open the view out back and create a unique vortex-shaped art studio space. All we could say was “WOW!” Now, everyone who sees and talks to us about our new house, compliments us on this unique and creative architectural feature. Alan took our ideas and pushed them to a whole new level and the 3-D views Alan showed us throughout the process, were spectacular.
