“I have Halcyon shades in all windows in my house in Southern California that get sun and I love them. Unlike most products advertised as solar shades, these are transparent allowing undistorted views to the outside while providing some measure of invisibility for those looking from the outside into the house. They reflect sunlight unlike most solar shades which block a part of the sun coming in. The metallization of a plastic film is the same technology used to manage heat on satellites out in space. They mount on the inside of the window and can be raised or lowered the same way any window shade can be adjusted. In some windows, I use them in conjunction with more opaque coverings. The only issue I have is that I'd like to put them in my retirement home and so far, haven't found anyone willing to figure out the Halcyon connection. Still looking though. Finally, because of the technology, they only come in limited "colors", silvery and pale brown; they are not a substitute for standard sun-blocking shades.”

“New to the area, we sought out a couple of quotes for blinds throughout our new home. Don Hauser of House of Style and St. Louis Blinds & Shutter Company was our choice. We were impressed by his attention to details and good customer skills. During the out-of-state move process, whenever I called or e-mailed Don, he was excellent on follow-up. The initial quote was higher than we had budgeted for, but I asked Don what options could give a similar look and yet reduce the cost. He suggested a different cord-option and a closeout fabric style nearly identical to our first choice. It was perfect! The blinds were installed on our requested day. They look great and fill the window-needs we were looking for. I highly recommend this company.”
