Storm Smart

We recently had the hurricane storm catcher screens installed on our lanai and are very happy with them. We are shaded from the sun and protected from winds. They are sturdy yet very attractive looking. The installer technicians were fantastic! They are very courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, and neat. It was quite obvious that they took pride in their work. Shout out to Josh Ray and JuWan. When we complimented them on their fine job Josh stood back looked over his work and said, "this is my art."

Zero Stars- We had a roll down storm smart screen shutter installed a year ago. The screen stretches after installation, so we were told to call them back after a month or so and they would come tighten it. We have called multiple times and left multiple voicemails for months and no response. Also our screen does not go all the way up back into the track, which continues to happen. Hurricane season is upon us and we do not feel safe now and they do not care and will not call you back. Definitely Do NOT recommend this company. Quick to come and get their money, but they do not call you back for repairs. Customer service is non existent. Save your money and time and find someone reliable. We are very disappointed in this company and their customer service. Not responding at all or returning phone calls is unacceptable especially during hurricane season.

Seems that if you have a perfect installation, you can expect to leave a good review. But if anything goes wrong, be prepared for non-returned phone calls, no follow through and having to take time to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to receive a resolution. I would never never never recommend.

Not at all satisfied!! Screens did not last and the company did not stand behind them,!!! Never again, and would not recommend them over a solid shield.

I am very disappointed in this company. We were led to believe that the lania screening would keep the area dry. Both times it rained hard, water just gushed in, not a light spray as our salesman had promised, but poured in. We specifically got it to keep that area dry allowing us to use it in bad weather. We already had hurricane windows., so no need for that. It failed at my specific purpose!

Review for Storm Smart (window replacement only): Storm Smart sold us on these "great PGT windows and their great installers" and did a great job of it as we bought. Sadly most of the windows had distorted glass and gave me a sea sick feeling looking through them. It took almost 1 year to get most of the distorted glass replaced (and some had to be replaced twice - one of them is still not right, but it was better than the second replacement sent). When first installed, the installers did not shim the windows, hence the sashes had variance up to 1/4" from top to bottom between sash and frame. Two screws were left out entirely, but luckily another Storm Smart rep saw them while inspecting our complaints of distorted glass. Also after replacing some of the sashes, weather stripping was left out allowing cold air to blow right on through - I had to catch the error myself. The salesman at SS told us that they inspect all incoming windows from PGT so that they are perfect when they arrive (we proved this untrue). We were missing grids on two of the windows. I cannot blame Storm Smart for the lack of quality of the glass, but I feel that they let us down by not getting our issues fixed right the first time. I would have felt much better with Storm Smart had they been as aghast as I was in seeing the distortion themselves instead of making me feel like they saw nothing wrong with the quality. Only after the fact on one window did a rep agree that it looked like "fun house" glass. The guys doing all the replacements seemed to struggle and broke coils a couple of times while replacing the windows. These windows are heavy, and I bought the double hung because I wanted to be able to clean the glass on the outside of both sashes (2nd floor) and I told the salesman this. He never told me that these windows would slip up and fall out if not held precisely in a certain manner and I feel he should have known that I would never be able to clean these windows myself. If I only knew then what I know now! You have to be your own inspector with this company - so keep your eyes open.

Great work, on time and flexible, had all windows and doors in the house replaced with new impact proof windows and doors.
