Met at a home show, he took time to educate us on the product. Found to be high quality shades and knowledgeable individual so ordered 10 shades for our 3 season room. We were not disappointed. . . Mike was very helpful and informative in assisting us with having a new fixed awning installed over the deck of our lake house. We kept in touch by email because we do not live there permanently. He was able to do most of the measuring and installation while we were not there and kept us up to date on the progress, including emailing pictures. We are very happy with the result and it completes the look of the house perfectly.

I live in a rural area and wanted to have an Eclipse Awning installed but couldn't find a dealer willing to come out my way.....they basically brushed me off. Mike, the owner of Awnings on the Side, admitted right off that he was too far to make it worthwhile for either of us and I appreciated his honesty. But he didn''t just let it go...he advised me where I could get a similar awning and he answered all my question as if I was buying from him. And I had a lot of questions and we phoned and emailed and he was just so thoughtful and friendly. I finally decide to buy it through him despite a little higher cost and he arranged the shipment from the company free of charge and graciously accepted part payments before and after delivery. During the installation he stayed with me on the phone to help like a doctor in a delivery room and now I am the proud father of a beautiful awning. He is a rare find amongst contractors....concerned, clear, honest and knows his stuff.

We had 6 window awnings and 3 door awnings installed and couldn't be more satisfied. The product is high quality, the installation was on schedule, done neatly and Mike is very personable, courteous and professional. The price was especially fair considering we live outside his normal service area. We would and do recommend Awnings-on-the-Side to anyone needing this home improvement.
