Family owned and operated with over 70 years of experience in interior decorating, Barrington Draperies and Shutters is the largest source of custom shutters, blinds and draperies in the Northwest Chicagoland area. Specializing in window fashions, custom bedding and upholstery, we strive to provide you with the finest in quality interior decorating products and service, including the full line of Hunter Douglas™ products. We offer free in-home consultation by one of our experienced decorators, or you may stop in and visit our beautiful showroom located in the heart of downtown Barrington. Our expansive showroom is designed to provide our customers with a comfortable experience when browsing our wide range of custom window treatments, fabrics, blinds, shutters, and screens.

I could not be happier with the service I received from BDS. They were prompt coming out to my home and measuring my windows. Extremely helpful explaining my options and matching fabric and color to my home. My window treatments look beautiful and I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

I was referred to Angela of Barrington Draperies by my brother who had some work done on his windows. Our new home had those paper shades from Home Depot for two years and it was time for a change. My husband and I had some ideas of what we wanted done, but needed some guidance. Angela was WONDERFUL! She took our ideas and made them into dreams; it as like she could read our minds. I can't image our home without the shutters, shades, and draperies. She made our guest room, where my in-laws stay when they visit, feel like a luxury hotel room. It truly feels like a home now. Thank you!
