Budget Blinds of West Hartford

I have worked with Budget Blinds for many years when I worked in hospitality, so when it came to getting blinds for my own home, there was no question who I would choose. This was my first time working with Budget Blinds of West Hartford, and I had an excellent experience. They were very patient when I was indecisive about color and never rushed me. The price was excellent, and the product was delivered on time and installed beautifully.

It was lovely meeting Tina. She showed up on time, she had all the samples and everything and she exhibited such professionalism. She saved me a lot of money and it was a pleasure doing business with her and I will be doing business with her in the spring. Cannot wait to meet up with her again.

The design consultant listened to what I needed and offered solutions to keep glare out of a family/TV room bathed in sunlight, privacy in a bedroom and a cost efficient garage window solution. I was impressed how well she knew the characteristics of the many products in her case of samples. She has a good eye when recommending color and texture. Not something I found at the big box stores. Turn around time was fast. The installers worked quickly and cleaned up every bit of packing materials. Pricing is fair and I even got a personal note thanking me for the business.

The owner was knowledgeable and went out of her way to help me pick the right blind for my bay window. We had to match the colors to the trim and make sure the profile did not obstruct the view. She took the time to make sure I picked the right product. She also applied available discounts which gave me additional value and savings. I would recommend budget blinds of West Hartford.

Hi Houzz I own an full service Interior Design business in West Hartford and have used Budget Blinds for a client in west hartford. Ordered the blind in a custom color on the phone last year 2015 and did receive it in a timely fashion. Everything went smoothly. I would definitely use them in the future. My experience was great! Budget Blinds has done two window treatments for me--one for a master bathroom, the other for a kids bedroom. They have a great sampling of products, and they are professional, responsive, and helpful. I highly recommend them.

I have had 3 orders completed by Budget Blinds of West Hartford. Ruth is extremely helpful and offers great suggestions customized for your room. Also the installation was completed on time and with great care. I will absolutely use them again!

We have worked with Budget Blinds on three separate occasions and could not be more pleased. Ruth has a great sense of design/style. She always has numerous samples with her and the selection that she offers is pretty expansive. When we did have an issue with one of our cordless blinds, Ruth had them replaced immediately.

Pros: The staff was friendly overall and helped with choosing colors and materials so the blinds would fit each room. The installation was quick and the convenience was the biggest value. Cons: Budget Blinds are not comparable to the quality of Hunter Douglas, higher end Bali, or Levelor blinds, but are priced as such. They are average to good at best. For example the cellular shades in my bedroom are heavier weight then the ones in my kitchen and they still do not retract up more than 1/3rd the way without you manually having to push them up. Budget Blinds told me they need to "settle" in. I feel that the settling period should have happened after being in for two years. The installer only attached one screw per side to hold each blind versus two per side - not the most secure method, but this did speed up the installation. I cleaned a grease mark off of a blind after the installer left and cut myself on the jagged plastic top which wasn't machined/smoothed like the others. I did get blood on the shade part of the blind. You're the one who cleans the drill dust off of your windows and sills once the blinds are installed. All of the shades appear as if they could be slightly wider at each edge to cover the window better. Redeeming quality: Budget Blinds did replace the blind with the jagged edge for free. Overall impression: If your #1 priority is convenience, then Budget Blinds is fine and the blind quality is good enough. If you have the time to measure, order, and install your own blinds then you'll most likely receive a better quality blind for roughly the same price, provided you have the time.
