Back in 2012, I order Hunter Douglas motorized pirouette shades from Custom Wood Shutters & Blinds. Eron and his wife Cindi, who own this business, were incredibly helpful during the selection process and I really liked that they have an physical location (that is, they aren’t selling Hunter Douglas shades out of the trunk of a car). Eron measured my windows and installed over 30 shades at my house in January 2013. The shades were beautiful and he was super efficient and very detail-oriented. No damage was done to my house. The shades and installation were perfect! Because I moved, in December 2019, I ordered new Hunter Douglas motorized pirouette shades for my house. Eron again gave me a reasonable quote and installed 25 shades at my new house. I keep coming back to Eron and Cindi because it is abundantly clear that they care about their business and their customers. I highly recommend them!

They deliver 5-star quality work and fast service. All their products are top quality. This company was a pleasure to do business with. I interviewed several companies and made the right decision when I picked Custom Wood Shutters and Blinds. The salesperson helped me pick the 19 shades and drapes for my home. The owner came to measure and suggested a couple changes which were even better than our first selections and at very little change in price. They both had a good eyes for design. The installation was timely. One window had been manufactured with the chain on the wrong side which they fixed the following week. We also had a shade which was off color to its sister shade. They followed up with me and got the manufacturer to change it! One couldn't ask for better customer service!

My husband and I have used Custom Wood Shutters & Blinds three times to design and install window treatments in our home. The first time was two years ago when we had to replace the original wood shutters in our master bedroom. The window was pretty big and we did not want to install something that was just going to fall apart as the original window treatment did. We will admit to being window treatment challenged and were anxious about finding the right product. After talking with Cindi we were much more comfortable with the whole process. She was so helpful and patient with us and was able to show us a number of products that would meet our needs. We chose to install Polycore shutters and they have been a dream. The installation process was quick and the installer, Derek, hauled away the old shutters and cleaned up the job was done. We were so happy with Custom Wood Shutters & Blinds we decided to have them design and install a Hunter Douglas Roller Shade in our kitchen window after the original blind snapped a cord. The best part about that install was the ability to have a remote to control the roller shade. No more leaning over the countertop and yanking on a cord. There were so many types of fabrics to chose from that it was easy to find the one that gave us the proper balance of privacy and light. Fast forward to 2018 and when it came time to replace the shutters in our master bathroom all we had to do was call Cindi and let her know we wanted the same shutters as they installed on our master bedroom window. Derek came out to measure the window and that is all there was to it. We also decided to have the same roller shade that was installed in our kitchen window over a sliding glass door. It took Derek about 15 minutes to install and adjust the limits of the shade. He added it to the same remote which is super handy. In summary, Custom Wood Shutters & Blinds may not be the least, or the most, expensive option in the window treatment market but they are certainly the most dedicated and professional company you will have the pleasure of dealing with.

I purposely drove long distance to this store several times hoping to receive the excellent customer service many others have raved about. My goal was very simple, as I only wanted to order the same vertical aluminum blinds that Hunter Douglas made for me 20 years ago. My order was a little unique, as it actually consisted of two combined window coverings - a vertical aluminum vane inserted into a groover. As I did 20 years ago, I discussed my goal with Hunter Douglas Customer Service. They agreed to fabricate what I wanted and I would simply slide the vane into the groover myself. The whole concept of what I was doing was upsetting to Cindi, the owner. She called my order “unusual”. Then, my self-installation was unusual. Then, my order was a “business Liability”, when I asked why they didn’t quote as promised. Then, they explained what I wanted to do would not work… Since Hunter Douglass approved fabricating what I wanted, I think this retail store was wrong in not selling it to me.
