We are really pleased with the job Cut-yardage in Sacramento did of reupholstering our vintage chaise lounge. It turned out great and will be the conversation starter we wanted it to be. From selecting fabric to receiving the finished piece back, we enjoyed the whole collaborative and creative process and would happily refer friends to Cut-yardage any time.

I had loved my sofa and loveseat for 44 years, but, alas, over the years a couple of kitties had their way with the end panels. I never found anything I liked as well, so I bit the bullet and decided to re-upholster my pieces. I found Cut-yardage online, and I started by spending quite a while going through fabric choices. Then, I went online and looked at available upholstery fabric in general. When I initiated email contact with Cut-yardage, the first fabric I selected wound up being $68 a yard, and the project was too costly. I then made a trip out to Cut-yardage's giant warehouse and sales room. The sales room is filled with circular racks, holding hundreds of fabric samples, and each sample has a card showing how much of the fabric was available on site. I was able to find a beautiful fabric, at only $14.99 a yard, and I signed the contract that same day. They request that you pay half at that time. I then got in line for pick-up, and they predicted it might be about a month. I got lucky, and pick-up was scheduled only two weeks later. Two very nice men showed up in a moving van, and carefully loaded my two pieces with all their cushions. I was then able to give my carpet a very thorough cleaning while the room was almost empty. Again, I was lucky in that it was only two weeks until they were able to re-deliver my furniture. I'm very pleased with the professional job they did, and I posted photos on Facebook. I was amazed at how many commented, and mentioned one event or another they had celebrated at my house, on those sofas. I'm so glad I kept them!

Cut-Yardage reupholstered two chairs and an ottoman and we are completely satisfied with their work. The chairs are a modern style and could not be replaced locally, so we were happy that we found Cut-Yardage. Not only did a designer bring out samples and help us select new fabric, but they also picked up and returned our chairs. Working with Cut-Yardage was a wonderful experience and we plan to have our dining room chairs reupholstered soon!

Since we were unable to buy new barstools of the same type and quality of our original ones, we decided to reupholster them. We are absolutely ecstatic with the work they did. They did an excellent job. The fabric and foam used were as described and great quality. Their pick up and delivery service was a plus as well as quick and efficient.

We had our couch reupholstered and it looks terrific! Pick up and delivery was seamless. Staff very helpful. The hardest part? Deciding on fabric! They have soooooo many choices! Thank you for everything!

Excellent service and response time. They fixed the webbing on my Danish sofa and chairs very quickly and delivered the items back to my house. I would definitely recommend them.

First time ever having work like this done SO HAPPY! Had my couch cushions re-stuffed as they were getting so mushy even after just a year and a half old. Office was amazing to work with, super helpful staff, job done in the time frame said, reasonable price. COUCH IS FEELING LIKE BRAND NEW! (Truthfully it feels better than it did when I bought it new, it is amazing, super happy). I will definitely refer these folks to anyone needing this kind of work done and use them again if I ever need them.

Faith Hess is an expert in her field of work. Faith is very knowledgeable in drapery style design and fabric combination selections. She spent hours with us in our home and in her sales office to finalize the style, fabric and hardware selections. This was my first experience having furniture professionally reupholstered. Their in-stock fabric selection is very impressive, but if you can’t find what you want there, you can order from a mind-boggling selection of books of swatches. I have to say, everyone at Cut-Yardage was friendly, helpful and professional from beginning to end, including the pick up and delivery staff. I found a Stickley-style Craftsman/Mission sofa and loveseat from a private party sale. It was definitely loved but still worth saving. Leather was repurposed from the original accent pillows with new floral fabric on the other side that coordinated with leather and the main upholstery fabric. I did not like original style of the back cushions, so they made new cushions in the style of my choosing. I basically have a new sofa and loveseat, custom designed for a fraction of what I would have paid for a brand new set. At the last minute, I commissioned 2 lumbar pillows which should be completed any day. Don’t hesitate to give these folks your business. The work is incredible! Thank you Cut-Yardage!

This year my husband and I tried to find new patio cushions for our existing set. The original cushions were starting to show some serious wear and it was time. Since we love our set and wanted to keep it, the easiest solution seemed like new cushions. Well, forget that idea! We looked everywhere between EDH and Sacramento and on line and zippo. Cut-Yardage had been mentioned favorably on Next Door in EDH, so we drove to Sac to see what was available. This place is amazing! Wall to wall and floor to ceiling fabric of every imaginable type and for all purposes. We chatted at length with Carol who informed us of their capabilities (everything!) and we chose our fabric, a Sunbrella dupioni style (slub yarns) fabric in a “chili red” color. We also added covers for 4 throw pillows in a complimenting fabric, for which I had inserts. Cut-Yardage also picked up our existing cushions at no cost (and delivered the final product). Several weeks later (delayed due to COVID) they called to schedule delivery. When they arrived, we could not have been more thrilled! The workmanship was excellent and the throw covers were pattern matched on all sides. Upholstery weight thread (as it should be), waterfall front edge, invisible zippers, serged seams and a perfect fit. The original back cushions had zippers, but also had a tufting button in the center which completely defeated to point of having a removable cover. We requested no tufting on the new back cushions and only an additional poly wrap was needed on the seats as the foam was still in great shape. We now have “new” patio seating that won’t fade, can be washed (if needed), will last “forever” and looks fabulous. If any of you are looking for and upholstery option, I cannot recommend Cut-Yardage highly enough! Wonderful people who know fabric and service!
