We spoke with Ingo about getting blinds for our new house and our customer service situation and happiness with the blinds exceeded expectations. He was brilliant and responsive and the install (which I was worried about) was straightforward. In fact, our experience was so good we’ve recommended him to others in person and are buying from him again now.

(Reposting my Google review here... but our shades have been great, so want to spread the word): We recently got new windows for our home and ended up with a need for shallow depth blinds. I spoke with several window treatment dealers (online and local) and there didn't seem to be any options. Luckily, I found out about Fenstermann from some Houzz posts and was happy to see they have an outpost here in the Bay Area. Jenny came to our home and was extremely friendly and helpful, taking care of measurements and bringing along the largest sample book we've ever seen. We were even able to have them install the blinds as well. The blinds are imported from Germany and are very high quality when I compare them side by side with other blinds we have. The best part is even though they are top-down-bottom-up blinds, they do not have the unsightly and inconvenient strings running across your window viewing area. Worth the investment and am very happy so far!

Fenstermann is a great company, located in Florida with an office in California. The blinds I bought are expensive, but great quality and totally worth the money! I first learned about Fenstermann when I needed blinds for some new tilt and turn windows. Tilt and turn are not common in the US, but they're popular in Europe. I was having no luck finding anything suitable till I hit on Fenstermann. Ingo and his team are very helpful and easy to work with. They gave me clear instructions on how to measure. When I had questions, I sent photos and they were quick to answer. Samples arrived very quickly, and the blinds were delivered from Germany, where they're manufactured, in a very reasonable amount of time. Our most recent purchase was for casement windows and the second experience was every bit as good as the first. Fun fact: Fenstermann is German for "window man".

Fenstermann came highly recommended from two separate window manufacturers and installers in our area, and I can't imagine considering anyone else for tilt/turns and horizontal pivots. We been impressed with Ingo's support (and patience!) throughout the entire process of ordering and installing our window blinds, from color selection; to measurement; to installation, which we completed ourselves. Our remodel needed a total of 16 treatments, and while they weren't cheap -- especially the large-format ones -- the quality, finish, after-care support, and day-to-day usage have all met our very high expectations. The shades have received high praise from our architect, who loves that there are no drawstrings to contend with. We like to keep our bedrooms dark at night, and haven't needed any additional window coverings, despite a small amount of unavoidable light leakage on the edges of the blackouts. 5 months in, we're still as happy with them today as we were the day they arrived.

We recently purchased a new construction home that came with tilt & turn windows. We quickly realized that it would be a challenge finding window treatments that would work. We are so happy to have discovered Fenstermann. At first, I was very apprehensive about the idea of measuring myself, ordering shades all the way from Europe, and doing the installation ourselves. I was expecting that, at best, it would be a painful process, and that we would end up with some shades not fitting quite right. I couldn't have been more wrong. Ingo is a true professional. He guided us through the entire process, responding to all my questions quickly and thoroughly. When the shades arrived sooner then expected, they were perfect. All of them fit exactly right. The installation itself was a breeze. We could not be happier with our Fenstermann honeycomb shades. I would recommend them to anyone!

Our project was to create a sun room from a former screened porch. There were three walls of windows with only a one inch depth for the trim. We really wanted inside mount, top down bottom up honeycomb shades to create a simple, clean look and maximize the flexibility for adjusting light. We discovered that Fenstermann is the only company that sells shades for shallow windows. Our experience working with Ingo Scholz, President was exceptional. He was professional, helpful and the entire process was easy. We were sent samples of materials from which to select our shades, phone calls and emails were returned promptly, and the shades arrived within the projected timeframe. We had ten windows with varying measurements and each shade was numbered to correspond to the exact window. The workmanship is excellent. Installation was well described in instructions and simple to execute. We love the shades! They are exactly what we were hoping for. I highly recommend Fenstermann if you are in the market for window shades.

As an architect I was very particular when it came to selecting blinds for my own home remodel. I had a unique design problem I was trying to solve which required a narrow profile shade, so I searched online and found Fenstermann. After a call with the Owner, Ingo Scholz, he connected me with my local rep and I had a wonderful experience working with Jenny. Not only did I end up with the perfect architectural solution to fit my unique window detail, but they were also extremely generous with their time to help us finalize a fabric choice, accurately measure the windows for the order, and perfectly install the units when they arrived onsite. I ordered 15 units throughout my house!!! We love the results and I highly recommend Fenstermann. I have excitedly been sharing my discovery of this product with friends and colleagues.

My daughter had your shades put on her house and she wanted me to install the same shades in my home. We put the shades in 2 bedrooms . On the west side we used the shades with the foil backing. They have really kept the room cool. The other bedroom, kitchen and den had the linen shades. The project was put together quicker than I expected and the team who measured and then put them in were prompt and business like. They were very accurate. The shades greatly enhance our home.

I'm thrilled with my kitchen shade from Fenstermann and only wish I had discovered them before I did my other window treatments. I have a very shallow depth window. I can't believe how slick this design is. The process was so easy. I took my own measurements and I worried a little that it would be too tight of a fit, but it was perfect! Love it! Highly recommend.

It is so refreshing to deal with an online company that actually responds to the myriad of questions that occur in the buying process. What is even more amazing is that Ingo personally responded. This is so rare with online purchases. The shades are high quality and perfect. My wife and I are very satisfied and we highly recommend Ingo if you are in the process of deciding who to purchase shades from. Also, if you purchase Euro tilt/turn windows I believe that Fenstermann LLC is the only logical choice you have. Other companies claim to have tilt/turn shades but they are not in the same class as Ingo's.
