In 2017 I was wandering around my local Benjamin Moore store totally stumped as to what colors to choose for my condo when I met Linda Bassert of Masterworks Window Fashions & Design. After explaining my predicament, Linda came to my condo. I cannot begin to tell you how glad I was to get her Excel spreadsheet with detailed instructions as to colors for the walls, trim for each room, directions on what should be painted a certain color and what should not be painted. Linda gave specific advice on decor such as the placement of paintings, colors of the plates for the light switches, etc. etc. Even after all this time, I am still so happy with the results. I can tell you that everyone who comes here just love the colors on the walls. So it was with great expectations that she came out to do the same service for my son's townhouse this past summer . This townhouse was in dire need of a transformation. Linda worked up an absolutely beautiful array of colors for every room in the house, the painting of the kitchen cabinets, the painting of the bannisters. The townhouse was transformed. It is just so awesome! Linda is the Master of Color. I strongly recommend her services. You will be so happy --- and relieved!

Linda spent a lot of time with us to select colors for our exterior, so we appreciated the flat rate she charges.. It was a very hot summer day with mosquitoes swarming all around but she was undeterred! She thought of things we never would have on our own to bring out the architectural details of our home. When the painting company suggested we not use gloss we asked her opinion and went with her recommendation. She was also available to make updates and answer questions throughout the painting process and was super responsive. The result is fantastic and we couldn’t be happier with the way our house turned out. We recommended her to our neighbors too.

We have employed Ms. Bassert since 2018 to assist us in picking paint colors for the interior and exterior of our home. Linda is extremely knowledgeable, and helpful in offering suggestions and selection of colors on four occasions. Her suggestions provide wise counsel and advice that include ideas we never considered. Importantly, she also provides us with comprehensive written instructions on color, paint type and finish that we can provide to the painters, making the process seemless. Most recently we needed to repaint some interior trim for colors selected four years ago. A quick email to Linda generated a prompt response and color chart that made color match a breeze. My husband and I had never had a Color Consultation in our lives. Boy were we Thrilled to have Linda Bassert guide and encourage us! I found the whole idea of painting and old farmhouse daunting. Linda had just the right questions to ask about our likes, dislikes, desires for color or mood in a room. For example, I wanted more light in the old farm kitchen with a small window. I also wanted a happy place to sit. She helped me choose a yellow that was a perfect tint for the room and especially for my tastes! For the Living Room, we wanted to highlight a watercolor. I chose blue. Linda pointed out why the blue walls would mute the blues in our beautiful painting of a South Carolina Marsh. My husband wanted a faint pink. I didn't, but with Linda's gentle, kind guidance, my husband got his desire, the painting was highlighted and everyone who came into the Living Room commented on how the shade of pink was perfect for the room! We also had 3 bathrooms to paint. She made sure that we had the right Benjamin Moore paint that wouldn't be affected by the humidity or any water splashes! She is a GENIUS at Colors as well as Window Treatments. She helped my Mom and everything Linda touched turned to Gold! If you want the BEST Professional for the job, ask for Linda Bassert!!!! We worked with Linda for over a year on two complete renovation projects during COVID. First she helped with paint selections. Who knew there were so many "white" paint choices. She really understands color. We are so comfortable with all the paint colors she suggested. Second she helped with automated shades and traditional draperies. We selected hard wired automated Solar Shades at a balcony door and window combination that has a view. Each day we wake up and the shades are down filtering the sun but allowing a morning view and each night they go down after we go to sleep. She is a true professional with an incredible work ethic rarely seen anymore.

Having Masterworks Window Fashions & Design help select house paint colors made all the difference! I was pretty sure I wanted blue-grey siding, white trim, and a navy blue door, but that hardly narrows down the actual paint color choices. Linda helped me find the shades that best complemented each other and our existing brick. She also had great ideas for highlighting architectural details and hiding unsightly pipes. I LOVE the way it all turned out! Even the painters commented multiple times on how nice the colors looked! I was most surprised to see how the new paint colors turned the existing brick into an asset. I also appreciated Linda's clear communication throughout the process, from preparing for the consultation, to the consultation itself, to the detailed written notes for the painters. I felt she heard and respected my opinions and offered expert advice on how to best achieve my goals.

I hired Linda Bassert at Masterworks Window Fashions and Design, LLC, to design and make window treatments for all the window in my new home. I had very clear ideas and preferences and specific expectations. Linda listened carefully, asked good questions, came to see my windows and existing home decor, and then helped me select fabrics and styles for each window. One particular double window needed a complex solution, and she responded with a fabulous design and fabrication. All the windows turned out just beautiful, and I am so pleased with the result. Linda was highly responsive and professional, with exacting standards; she was a pleasure to work with.

We are pleased to say that our new window treatments in our den are wonderful. Our design consultant Linda Bassert's experience & advise was invaluable in working us through this longer than usual process because of covid. Also her consultation on designing our master bedroom re-do of the bathroon/dressing area was incredibly helpful. Her professionalism in many areas including communication of information, responses to questions from us, and her experience in the designing field set her apart in our opinion. We would recommend her to our friends and would look forward to other changes we might do in our home.

When I first met Linda, I was committed to a palate of whites in keeping with the very modern interior of my 1895 Victorian home. Color had never entered my mind, not until Linda suggested the possibility! She’d been drawn to the lush colors of a painting in my sun room, and thought wall color would complement its beauty. Linda helped me choose colors that enhance the beauty of my art, and pop the architectural details of my home. I adore the shades, textures, and warmth these colors bring, and am delighted I leapt into the rainbow with Linda’s patient suggestions and guidance. Suffice it to say that I was, and still am, bowled over. My home has still got a very modern interior, but it is now suffused with color. Linda is wonderful to work with. When I wanted to repaint the outside of our home I was lost with what colors would be best to mix and match with our trim and door color. Linda came over and showed us all of our options, not only providing color samples, but also suggestions on improving our look by adding additional molding. Our original house color was very bland and blended into our neighboring townhomes with no contrast. Now that we’ve repainted it with Linda’s help, it looks 100% better! Our house “pops” and actually makes the neighbors’ homes more distinguished too. I love the color combination on our trim, and the additional molding that she suggested makes our door look fabulous. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to consult with Linda. Not only was she very helpful, but she was professional, kind, and had reasonable pricing. Linda helped me select window treatments for my entire house (bedrooms, family room, kitchen, living room, and dining room). She has wonderful ideas, great suggestions, and a marvelous way of helping narrow down ideas to a final choice. Her installers are friendly and excellent at what they do.
