I ordered two aluminum blinds and within a few months, one of the tilt mechanisms stopped working. They sent me another blind. A few months later the second one did the same thing and they sent me the mechanism WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS! I had to go online to see how to do it and it still did not resolve the issue.

We're SO pleased with the two blinds we ordered! Our order took a while to arrive, but once it did, the blinds were very easy to install, and the price was excellent. We love how they look, they function very well, we highly recommend!

My husband and I just built a custom 3,000 square foot home with lots of windows and French doors. I placed the SelectBlinds order on the first of December, but waited to pull the trigger until the company could send me samples. It took weeks before they finally had samples back in stock. I attribute that to people wanting to freshen up their homes before the holidays which depleted SelectBlind's sample section. Finally they did come back in and I was able to look at several choices and finalize my order. Again, due to a shortage of materials, it took additional weeks to make the blinds and start seeing our order arrive. We've received most of the order piecemeal, and are still waiting on the final two Roman shades. I had a local business come to my home to give me an estimate, and another person who works with Costco also come. The first estimate was over $7,000 and the Costco estimate was over $10,000 for essentially the same materials. SelectBlinds was a little over half of the $7,000 quote. When the blinds finally arrived, I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled (and relieved truthfully) with the quality of the materials. I ordered their Designer Elements Light Filtering Roller Shades in Vintage Diamond and their Designer Elements Blackout Roller Shades. The material looks like linen, and the motorized shades and easy lift shades work beautifully. The Roman shades are Premium Farmhouse Woven Woods - Avery. The sample looks beautiful and I expect that the actual blinds will be as well. I haven't ordered blinds for the French doors because I wasn't sure if I wanted to, but I'm now fairly certain that I will, and I will definitely use SelectBlinds again. Oh, and their customer service is phenomenal - Vanessa was so helpful with one blind we received that was the wrong dimension, and was our error with the measurement. All in all, it was worth all the waiting; I'm so glad I went with this company.

We ordered nine blinds on 12/16 and as of 1/24 have received only one. The are now promising that the rest will ship tomorrow, but many other promised ship dates have already come and gone, so we’ll see. Looking at the Houzz reviews, the good ones are mostly from 2015 and 2016, and the new ones are mostly bad. I told one customer service reps that I felt like I was dealing with a company that was failing. Somewhat surprisingly, she responded, “With all our delays, sometimes it feels that way.”
One the bright side, the quality of the one blind we did receive seems to be excellent. Based on recent reviews though, I do worry about the rest. I have no idea of whether they are failing or not, but for us, the times claimed on the website, by CS reps, and in emails have all been untrue. Beware of long delays and bad info.

As of writing this review today's date is 12/7/20 - I placed my original order on *5/4/20* for a large (71"w X 82"h) lifestyle painted shutter. As of this review I still have not received an undamaged product. This has been in consultation with Matthew Parker who is a manager at Select Blinds.
I. The first shutter was received with visible damage through the shipping box on 7/2/20. It took until 7/21/20 to confirm that the damage would be repaired.
II. On 8/12/20 I received an email saying the repaired shutter was now damaged as being picked up by the freight company and would require a complete remake.
III. The now third attempt at manufacturing this shutter shipped on 11/24/20 - WELL OVER SIX MONTHS after my initial oder. Only to be received DAMAGED AGAIN. Two sections of frame are cracked, and the right shutter panel took a hit on the closing panel lip. This would now require a THIRD remake.
The customer service provided has been horrendous. You can't access a manager directly even if you've been working with them - they will call back in '24 hours' - which they don't.
I regret giving them nearly $5k of my money given the service provided - would have gone elsewhere. Be warned and aware of the way they operate before you order.

I do not recommend this company at all. Blinds are cheaply built and function very poorly on top of that the customer service is very poor. The Ikea blinds I own are much better build and function much better than these. I can't wait to replace them. I have also made the assumption that their reviews in their website are either fake or modified to only allow positive reviews since my bad review is not being posted.

My shades have come non functional, wont roll up, hang crooked, parts missing...customer service basically says that all these issues are normal and there isn't anything they can do. Normal to have a roller shade that rolls down but wont roll up? Really?? I asked why if it's normal they don''t say on the web site that it will be a considerable amount of work, with multiple efforts and some developed talent to be able to get the roller shade to roll back up? they have no answer. The problem? They don't make anything at SelectBlinds - Select Blinds is a marketing company that takes your money, sends an order to a variety of partner companies who stamp their brand on the order. Since they don't make the product they don't service the product. Since the products are so cheap most/many customers will have problems, and as a policy, they keep your money and tell you that you are out of luck. That you can buy additional replacement roller shades at a discount!!

Select blinds is an awful company. I tried to reach out to them for guidance on an order, and after waiting for days, I basically got a non-answer to my questions. I then ordered blinds per the instructions on their website, and waited for 6 weeks for them to ship.
When I get the blinds? They're too long because I allegedly clicked "outside mount" rather than "inside mount." The picture of the product shows an inside mount, and I'm confident that I selected inside mount.
I reached out to customer service, and they replied basically saying "too bad." Even if I did click the wrong option, a normal company would offer a path to a resolution. Maybe charge you another $50 to recut them or something. These guys just say you got what you ordered and walk away.
I had been using this order to test the concept in my daughter's room before outfitting the skylights throughout the rest of my house.
I'll definitely be choosing a different company now.

All customers are also sent an order confirmation stating which mount type you selected on the order, immediately after you submit payment. Donna at Select Blinds was fantastic. I had an issue with 3 of my blinds. One of the issues was my mistake and the other issue was there's. She took the time to work through all the issues with me and we resolved them.

Using numerous review sites - Selectblinds shows inconsistent reviews, and as low as 1 1/2 stars on other major sites.
I am redecorating my entire house. Thus far, I’ve purchased 3 products for two rooms.
2 blinds were ordered for a new bathroom. It was a $12,000 remodel and only one product failed. Selectblinds product (BOTH blinds) came unstrung by the time they were 1 month old.
I emailed Selectblinds and received a canned pat-on-the-back response. No resolve. I called Selectblinds and spoke to Matt - very nice guy. I sent the photos and videos they requested.
Matt was going to send the issue to management. I never heard back and emailed again. Total - I had FOUR communications with them, and finally gave them a date when I wanted them to be proactive about resolve. I never heard from them again.
I have worked in manufacturing and design. Currently, there are FOUR large fabric Roman shades in my kitchen eating area that have been operational for 12 years. I made them - and they have the same string/pull assembly as Selectblinds product.
Selectblinds is knotting the nylon cord. Nylon is slippery and with weight and use, it UNTIES itself.
(Again, I have photos of the frayed ends).
I finally assembled tools and spent some time taking apart the plastic pulls, reknotting all the cords and securing the knot with Gorilla Glue.
Needless to say, I will not be going forward with ANY Selectblinds products.

Ordered a blind from these guys. (Order 6337705) Received the blinds and the end caps don't sit flush on the unit. I call them and they offer to send new end caps. I mention that the end caps wont sit flush even if they send a new batch as the internal structure wont let it happen. I also mention that the color of the plastic parts is different than the rest of the unit and that I want to return the unit for bad quality. They mention that that is not possible. I tell them that I will then do a charge back and at that point they tell me that if im doing that that they wont help me at all (Like a threat). So their only solution is to send new endcaps that wont sit flush or suck it up.
Therefore I went the chargeback rout. What gets me is the attitude of customer service.

The Initial product was fine. It isn't the fanciest product in the world, but it was cheap and it did the job that it was supposed to do.
I bought 5 sets of blinds. 4 of them are fine to this day, but the fifth (which is in the exact same room as 3 of the other sets) developed awful yellow staining about 10 months in that could not be washed away no matter how hard we tried. I was relieved to remember that we had a warranty, so I sent an email to the warranty department asking them to replace the one defective blind. They gave me every line about how the damage was actually caused by me, from saying I was probably a smoke (Big no there), to telling me it was likely chemicals that I had in my house (nope), to even telling me that it was because I hung the blinds in the bathroom (I hung them on the shower curtain rod to take pictures of the staining in better light after cleaning them with water, so they made this snap judgement on their own). I explained time and time again that only 1 set was experiencing the staining and that the other undamaged sets were in the same conditions.
They swore that this damage couldn't possibly be due to UV damage, but the only side of the slats that were damaged were those facing outside, as we never open these blinds.
I emailed back and forth probably a total of 15 times - They approved my remake claim, then they denied it again - then they told me they would do it "at-cost", which ended up being more than I paid for it in the original order.
In the end, you better hope you don't receive a defective product like I did, because there is zero chance that they will honor your warranty.
