Lisa Bowles was terrific. I had a very large and complicated job (12 window openings with 18 actual windows) that had varying depths, meaning I couldn't use every kind of window treatment on the windows that didn't have enough depth. Lisa helped me figure out the requirements and then sent me samples, multiple times, until I ended up with blinds that would not only look right in their settings but that would also be installable. In the course of figuring this all out, we must have exchanged several dozen emails, and she never let anything fall through the cracks.

I purchased four motorized skylight blinds and a sliding door shade from Smith & Noble in August 2021. The blinds were installed by Smith & Noble personnel on November 2, 2021. Earlier this year, the motorized operational cord for one of the skylights broke, rendering the shade unusable. The Smith & Noble warranty page clearly indicates that "Operational cords are warranted for five years from date of purchase" and "Motorized products and solar panel chargers are warranted for five years from date of purchase." I contacted Smith & Noble to start the warranty repair process and was told, despite what's on their website, that the warranty for skylight shades is only one year (the shade itself is fine - the motorized operational cord is the problem) and that they refused to honor their warranty. They offered no solutions, no refund, and no help. Further, they indicated that, while they have people to install the blinds, they would not send someone to diagnose and/or repair the issue, even at our cost. They refuse to honor their warranty and they've essentially told us that these very expensive blinds are junk after only two years.

Over the past 23 years I have ordered from Smith & Noble, on-line, many window treatments for different homes I've lived in. Quality has been wonderful and I have enjoyed being able to view numerous options and fabrics. Apparently life with Smith & Noble is changing and no longer will we be able to order on-line, to place an order a designer must come to your home, at no charge and write up a potential quote. I eagerly await my next Roman Shade order with wonderful linen fabric and cotton lining though this will be my last order with Smith & Noble. I have enjoyed being able to view, measure, select options and order on-line, no more! Smith & Noble, 3-day Blinds and others, owned by Hunter Douglas, are now PREMIUM window treatments. As such, one must have a designer come to the home. I am a designer and therefore am quite capable of designing and choosing my own window treatments. Although I have enjoyed all that Smith & Noble has offered, I will be moving on to one of the many companies that offer 'ON-LINE' orders. Perhaps Hunter Douglas owns one of these companies too. I am saddened to leave Smith & Noble and the quality provided.

Lisa was extremely helpful and delightful to work with on my new house blinds. I had many many questions and she explained everything in full detail. I purchased a house full of solar shades.I would definitely work with her again.

Visit was for shutter measurement. He was on time, neat, friendly, helpful. This was for a repeat order of shutters I ordered two years ago. I love the product.

Our current house is the 2nd house we've used Smith and Noble for our cellular blinds needs. My online design consultant, Lisa Bowles was a dream. She helped me measure for the blinds. After talking to her and explaining my design needs, she suggested several colors to consider. She sent the color samples we discussed and even slipped in several other samples that she thought I would like. The blinds arrived and I decided to hire a handy man to install the blinds. They were super easy to put up and OMG they are gorgeous. I love them so much. I highly recommend this company. The blinds are a bit pricey but they are worth it. The installer was very impressed with the quality. Thank you, Lisa and Smith and Noble!

I purchased Smith and Noble linen shades 6 years ago (so now out of the 5 year cord warranty). Three of the four shades have issues with the cords that prevent them from functioning at all or functioning optimally. I have had handymen attempt to fix them and no luck. I reached out to Smith and Noble customer service requesting support with repairing the cords. From an environmental standpoint, I don’t want to discard the perfectly fine and fitted linen shades. I requested information on how Smith and Noble could repair the shades at MY cost, as was told that because they are out of warranty they won’t repair them at all (and was sent a link to Amazon cords that I could try to use to repair them myself). I understand that if had been within five years, they would be repaired, and that therefore the capacity to fix the cords exists. I would love to order window coverings in the future from a company that will repair broken items rather than send me DIY links, especially for the price I paid for the shades. I would be more than happy to pay for the company-issued repairs as the shades are out of warranty, but I am heart-broken at the thought of discarding the shades entirely as my handymen have been unsuccessful in at-home repair attempts. Overall, I would not recommend these shades as they mostly all broke within a few years of owning them and there seem to be no company-managed repair options.

This is our 3rd time using Smith and Noble company for our window treatments. This is my 2nd time having a Design Consultant come to the house to help us. All 3 times we have been extremely happy with the product and service from Smith and Noble. For this project, I am so happy with Lori Nease's customer service on our project. We had her to come to our house. She spent almost 4 hours with us to create our shutter design to 5 windows in our house. She is easy to talk to, knowledgable, and personable in her support. We appreciate her time and precision to make sure our order was correct! Thank you!

Lisa responded quickly to my question. She handled my concern and issue efficiently. She was knowledgable, and has good customer service skills.

Michael has been so incredibly helpful! We have moved into a new home and he is helping us find the right window treatments for each room. He is a very talented (and patient) design professional and I never would have been able to make up my mind without his gentle guidance. The shades he has helped us choose so far have looked great and fit perfectly.

In short - excellent products, awful customer service. We have a bay window with three powered shades, with a remote control, and one manual shade over sliding doors. We had them replaced after a small kitchen fire and they work wonderfully. Here's the fly in the ointment: trying to replace batteries and motors, which will Pennsylvania need to be replaced. Especially rechargeable batteries that are built into the blind head units. I had one battery fail to charge, causing that one blind to stick in place. First you have to be ready to do it yourself. Smith+Noble discourages contractors' repairs in my experience. And you need to learn how to make adjustments with the remote. Getting batteries ordered seems to be very difficult. I was able to replace the failed battery by pulling one out of my old blinds. But six+ weeks after making my first customer service call, I am still waiting for my order of three batteries. I finally contacted the supervisor, who ordered three batteries and the ordering department sent me three motors. So I'm now sitting with three motors which I don't need, $180 later, and no batteries. And two weeks later after the last contact I still haven't heard from them. I don't know if there's an equal product on the market, but if there is their customer service HAS to be better. The supervisor I talked to was very helpful, and very nice, but for some reason the people that do the actual ordering are inept.
