About Us

I love creating comfortable home environments that make great use of space and color. With twenty-five years experience in residential remodeling and design, I have a strong understanding of what it takes to create a stylish and functional home. As an In-Home Designer with SMITH & NOBLE, I work closely with my clients to transform their homes with customized window treatments. I know a lot about windows, and window treatments, and I love to problem solve; nothing pleases me more than helping people land on the perfect solution for their space. I routinely seek out new design inspiration in magazines like Better Homes and Gardens and Architectural Digest, as well as through online forums like Pinterest and of course Houzz. When I’m not working on a design project, I enjoy travel, photography, gardening, cooking, and spending time with my family.

Terri assisted me with the purchase of two solar rollover shades. She approached me by phone to offer her help. Having worked in the commercial furniture industry for years, I really didn't think I needed help. However, it was invaluable to have her to bounce my order plans off. She promptly arranged for some additional samples I needed, and even placed the order for me! Calls and emails were answered immediately, and her follow-up was flawless. Terri was very thorough and quick as well, enabling me to get a large order through in short time. This is my 5th time ordering through smith and noble so once she understood that I understood how the measuring works, etc, she helped me get my order in quickly- the website doesn't allow you to "copy/paste" when you have multiples of something so this is when the associates can really help you get it done.

Last night at seven o'clock I received my roman shades. When I opened the box I was blown away by how beautifully these turned out. Terri and I were on the phone for quite a while trying to make these perfect and I have to say they are! Terri was so helpful, knowledgeable , and patient. Ordering these over the phone can be difficult, but Terri made the process painless and they were so pretty I installed them right then and there. Smith and noble makes that easy also. All four shades were up in under an hour.
