I have been looking for an interesting piece of wood to finish my fireplace and I found it at Atlanta Specialty Woods. A beautiful piece of reclaimed hickory wood. The owner and staff were very helpful and quick to respond in cutting the wood exactly in the dimensions I needed. In the time I went to drink a cup of coffee locally the beam was ready to go, It saved me a trip back to the store coming from intown. Our search for beautiful beams ended by finding Atlanta Specialty Woods. We selected maple reclaimed beams and also a beautiful heart of pine mantel piece. They compliment each other so well. Christian, the owner, helped with the entire process and Matt explained how the wood would be cleaned, brushed and waxed to our satisfaction to bring out the beauty of the wood. Everything is completed and we couldn't be happier. They have a wonderful selection of fine wood.

Good variety of wood in all types and shapes. Prices were competitive. They spent a lot of time helping me choose and answered many questions including some I hadn't thought of! For the stain, they had a lab area where he would apply a sample to a similar wood for free so you know exactly what you are getting. My fireplace mantle was completed on time and they were very helpful in arranging everything. Would highly recommend to others.
