Mealani is an excellent designer who brought elements of Hawaii into our home. She listened to our requirements and kept to our budget. Mealani has many resources on the island as we wanted to 'buy local'. She is very creative and great to work with. Mealani also completed work on our mainland home to resolve design issues and created a comfortable living environment.

My guests give rave reviews constantly and I also have had several client functions there with the same results! She has an amazing ability to use colors and texture. she also designed my business offices in Bellevue with the same amazing results! she did my offices under emergency timing, coordinated all of the contractors and created nothing short of a miracle! We could not be happier with Mealani. She absolutely transformed our 1930's sugar camp home with a new color palate, upgraded fixtures, furniture, and many creative details. The result is just what we had hoped for, a simple yet beautifully updated Hawaiian retreat, with much of the original 1930's charm. Mealani managed all the work while we were off island. She kept in touch with us regularly (phone, e-mail, photos) and responded quickly to any question or concern. She utilized a highly professional contractor, whose conscientious work exceeded all our expectations. It is clear Mealani loves what she does. She was as excited as we were about our project, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Meolani did a complete renovation on my 2417 square foot condominium Kolea penthouse. this included flooring, wall and ceiling treatments, furniture and artwork. i wanted an authentic hawaiian feel throughout. Her work ethic, attention to detail, ability to work within a budget, timeliness and artistic taste are amazing. she is talented, thorough, and very easy to communicate with. i am so impressed with her work. we became instant friends as well! So much so she planned my entire wedding in Hawaii with the same flare and fines, care and love. It was also amazing. A true professional and kind should. will use her services again with our next purchase in Hawaii!!

Mealani is THE designer you want - hands down! Given we're investing in the property from the Mainland, I was discouraged of the choices and didn't know what to do and where to start since I had to get this remodeling done asap. Did I mention remotely? Then, Mealani called me and said, "no project is too small for me!". You have no idea how relieved I was. Due to it being our family, winter hideaway on the Big Island of Hawaii and a set budget for the project, Mealani's creativity and her vast resources she brought my vision to life and beyond that. She listens and gives great advice, very thorough and punctual and best of all she has a wonderful personality. Our condo is up and running now, and we received a lot of compliments. Mealani of Designs by MDM Hawaii did a wonderful job redecorating our new condo in Hawaii. She listened to our needs, budget and preferences and made wonderful suggestions. MDM Designs was hired to transform a basic condominium to a warm, inviting, contemporary tropical home for our family and friends. We wanted to incorporate as many local products, craftsmen and traditions as possible. The scope of the project was extensive. This included selecting the perfect colors for the walls and ceilings, more traditional wall-coverings for accent walls, new stone floors, custom lighting and mill-work. Mealani successfully managed the contractors and sub-contractors on a tight time-line and within budget. In addition, Mealani sourced custom art work, all new furniture inside and out, custom area rugs, custom bedding, new overhead fans, window coverings and all linens. The handcrafted dining table and chairs made by a local craftsman are exquisite, the custom area rugs bring warmth onto the stone floors, the locally carved traditional surfboards, oars and art bring Hawaii into our home. Mealani took the time to understand our requirements and delivered beyond our expectations. We continue to work with Mealani to add the final touches.

Mealani Morgan literally brought Hawaii into my Vacation Rental. She did exactly what I asked PLUS way more. She listens to what you want, does what you want, and then exceeds what you want.
