My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

ECP Custom Design established in London 2015, was born out of a desire to create custom furniture and accessories for our personal home. Just as soon as people saw the items created, commissions came in and the company was born. While in London, Edd solely created items made from wood but since having relocated to NYC, the company can now accommodate items that include designs with metal and plexiglass. Each design is approached the way an artist does a canvas. Every aspect of the design is well thought out to ensure durability as well as aesthetic taste. Edd helped me to fabricate and build some sophisticated acoustical devices for my studio. These are not your typical insulation in a fabric box frame. These are big, heavy units that require some precise specifications to build correctly. Furthermore, conventional construction methods don't apply in the same way when building acoustical units like this, so the building methodology is somewhat unorthodox to the common woodworker/carpenter. So all in all, a project very tricky, extremely heavy materials and sensitive to errors; but amidst all of that, Edd was VERY understanding, patient, open minded and generous with his time to help make sure we got it as precise as possible. Even in the middle of pandemic, Edd truly went the distance by giving me a head start at assembly, and set on a path to a successful build. Very professional, responsive, fun to work with and for incredible value. I will most definitely recommend his services to anyone, as I surely will be working with Edd again!

Ed built 2 sets of custom sliding doors for our master and guest bedroom closets (which were a non-standard height and width). Ed was fantastic. Very helpful and responsive from the outset. The quality of the doors is top notch, and he spent a lot of ensuring they were installed perfectly. Ed was extremely professional, respectful, and provided the entire service at a very reasonably price. I would highly recommend, and would use again myself.

I have used Edd Post's expertise twice. The first time he designed & built me a combination of bookshelves, display of my father's & mothers art, and a corner to hang bags/ umbrellas. All next to the entry door. When I saw his dedication to coming up with the best possible solution, I decided to use his skill again. In the next year, Edd opened a hole in my cement block wall and installed a gas fireplace. Around it, he built storage on each side and a tv that is inclosed, and opens up only in the occasions we want to watch TV. Edd built custom sliding barn doors to divide my NYC apartment space. Two years on, the doors are a beautiful & functional game-changer for our space. Edd was a pleasure to work with every step of the way: communicative, clear, honest, creative, and professional. Highly recommended!

Edd designed and built a custom-sized mid-century modern dresser for me, taking inspiration from an utterly unaffordable piece I had seen on Pinterest. He went so far to make everything perfect, including adding a nice beveled edge and custom made brass handles to get the correct look. We worked together to customize the drawers and cabinets so I could max out storage, and he was a dream to work with with GREAT suggestions! It turned out GORGEOUSLY and is prettier than the original piece! It's the focal point of my bedroom and I'm insanely proud to display his work! Would highly recommend Edd for commitment to excellent design, fabrication, and seamless customer service / delivery! Hire him, you won't be disappointed!
