Sense of Accomplishment

In seventeen years of designing kitchens and working with carpenters, I have never worked with a client who wanted to do his own installation. Usually, given the cost and time required, clients are anxious to have it over with as quickly as possible. They accept the added expense of an installer because they know that the professional will do a better job than they could do.

Recently, however, I encountered a client who wanted to go it on his own. He had never hung a cabinet before, or tiled a back splash, or mitered a crown, but he was willing and, as it turns out, able. He needed my expertise from time to time to point him in the right direction but, as you can see by the photos, he did a fantastic job! I can only imagine how great the sense of accomplishment.
