Country Modern Kitchen

A son's upcoming wedding was the catalyst for this home renovation. The clients of this home desired a space suitable for entertaining family and friends with emphasis on their upcoming home-based wedding. The first words at the initial client meeting were “ I hate my home”. Tired of the heavy, dated finishes, they wanted a more modern, inviting, open kitchen area to include multiple eating areas, dining table and adjoining lounge. The challenges we faced were to enlarge the existing kitchen, by removing a wall separating the unused dining area. With such a large open area, we wanted to create the coziness of the new space adding texture to the ceilings, warm grey colour palette on walls and flooring. The new dining area, kitchen and kitchen lounge flow transition easily. The end result provided a new heart of the client's home, perfect for entertaining family and friends, and a place the client could truly love coming home to.
