Mahwah NJ Residence

This house was designed on a parcel with limited site space. It is designed in the traditional manor style. The height limitations in the region create a challenging hurdle to overcome. The birds eye photo illustrates where the roof lines are broken, so that the height limits are met. At the same time, when approaching the home at ground level, the broken roof lines are not visible. All photos by Pamela Steton.

This is a birds eye view of the site & building front facade. The broken roof lines are due to the height limits established by the zoning criteria.

This is a grade level view of the site & building front facade. The builder selected the stone material and manner in which it was installed, which I disagree with. Regardless, the architecture overcomes that decision.

This the rear facade of the building. There are a number of access doors, providing multiple access points to the rear yard. The first floor of the turret, is the dinette space contiguous with the kitchen.

This the rear birds eye view of the building. The site was limiting, but this image illustrates the girth of the house.

This is the interior of the front facades single story turret. The heating system is hidden by the custom heat element covers along the perimeter of the room.
