The husband and wife owners of this three bedroom apartment situated at the exclusive Little Cove suburb of Noosa Heads, approached Jenny Ford to work on their project after hearing of her experience and study in the field of Interior Design. The apartment had a complete overhaul, including the moving of walls, replacement of two bathrooms and the kitchen, new flooring, joinery, lighting, window treatments plus an entirely new decorative scheme. The clients were happy with Jenny's vision of the neutral and soft colour palette that had lovely blues and greens added as punches of colour. The curved kitchen bench became the centre piece of the apartment, and replaced the need for a dining table. The kitchen bench, the lounge area, the downstairs outdoor balcony, or the rooftop became the new dining areas. Sliding plantation shutter doors were installed, shielding the apartment from the afternoon sun. Large format tiles were used throughout, including the bathroom walls, to create a sense of unity across the small space, which in turn made it feel larger. The real timber veneer used on the back of the kitchen bench, which was also repeated in the bathrooms, added to the beachy feel of the space, and tie back to the bespoke furniture made from recycled timber with powder coated white modern bases. The highlight of the project would have to be the built in corner seating that was initially dead space behind a couch. This can sleep up to two children, and act as a fun play area for the owners' grand children. Overall this was a very successful transformation.
