Open Concept Master Suite

The goal for this project was to update and upgrade the materials while still keeping many of the existing features. This client has a beautifully landscaped and very private back yard. Those natural elements inspired us to reinvent this master suite retreat. Neutral colors kept the emphasis on those windows but texture was implemented to add interest. We were involved in this project from the beginning to the end helping to manage the construction schedule and various contractors when needed.

A smoky brown unpolished porcelain tile is used to accent this bedroom wall. The tile is reminiscent of reclaimed barn boards. The warm tones repeats the existing cherry vanity.

This is the perfect place to curl up with a great book and enjoy the view! Stone panels were used to add texture to this existing fireplace. An onyx stain was applied to this custom bookshelf and mantle. What a difference these finishes made!

The previous pass-thru is configured for media. We reconfigured this use of space which allowed for a custom bookshelf in this reading nook and towel storage on the tub side.

The vanity, the tub, and the fireplace are all existing features. We added new colors and materials for an updated and upgraded look. Now the focus is where is should be - the view! What a great spot to unwind and relax.

New nightstands, bedding, window treatments, and accessories really create a luxurious and welcoming retreat in this master suite. The grey chaise in the nearby sitting room quickly became their dog's new favorite spot. I think it would be mine too!

This tufted headboard was in need of some new surroundings. We changed out the colors, bedding, headboard, window treatments, and accessories. Check out the after picture for the updated revel.

We mixed materials for added interest and they all come together at the tub edge. The concrete-looking 12x24 tile is a perfect way to outline the drop-in whirlpool tub. The 6x24 porcelain tile has a wood-look to it with this printed grain. The pebbles stained black offer a border between the two tiles. Finally, this carpet by Shaw Floors adds comfort and a subtle pattern ne...More
