Hidden Gem

A young family bought this "hidden gem" when they relocated from New York City. They wanted the sophistication and charm you would expect in Manhattan in this idyllic location near Princeton, NJ. This project - a renovation and addition - included a new covered back entry porch leading to a back stair, mudroom and laundry room. The first floor was expanded with an oversized kitchen, cozy sitting room and home office. The light filled kitchen opens to a bluestone terrace, has custom cabinets, a dramatic hood enclosure, large island with granite work space, prep sink and cherry eating counter. The walk out basement has a generous play area for the children with an outside entrance, home theater, full bathroom, exercise area and second kitchen for entertaining. A second floor was added with three bedrooms, all with private baths and walk in closets. The family can nestle into this hidden gem for a private country retreat or entertain with pizzazz. This spacious home has it all.
