Beach Tower House
Both a retreat and an investment property in Carillon Beach, FL. The project incorporated three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with the flexibility to accommodate up to 10 people comfortably using two bay window sleeping berths. The roof of the home is made of corrugated metal panels, with a single dormer at the front of the house. Two of the bedrooms are at the front of the retreat, with bathrooms that act as buffers to the living area. The third is lofted above with bathroom access as well. The open living/dining/kitchen area is located toward the rear of the house, where there is more privacy, and has a screened-in porch that expands the living/dining space and wraps around the house. The porch is comprised of simple, tapered wood columns connected by wood railings that feature uncommon crisscrossed stainless steel cables. It provides shade along the southwest side and serves as an outdoor sitting area.
