Glencoe - Private Residence

An extensive renovation nearly doubled this former three bedroom ranch home. The renovation retained two bedrooms and converted a former den into a large formal dining room. Guests are greeted at a new elongated foyer with a cove ceiling. The new great room is the centerpiece of the house with a stone fireplace, volume ceiling, and commanding views to the secluded rear yard. The custom designed kitchen with a center island and the separate breakfast room are adjacent to the great room and provide for casual gatherings. A screened porch provides for casual outdoor dining and activities. The former living room stone fireplace now anchors the new den that opens to the foyer via glass french doors. The renovation further includes the addition of a master bedroom suite. The bedroom has a tray ceiling and french doors to the exterior. The master bath incorporates his and her sinks and an oversized shower with a seat into the design. The exterior matches existing brick construction and provides numerous windows to the rear yard.
