Hires on Houzz

The Hires on Houzz count is a useful indicator for homeowners when choosing who to hire for a project. Showing a hires count on your profile gives potential clients an extra level of security — they feel comfortable reaching out because you have successfully worked with other Houzz clients in the past.

The Hires on Houzz count updates automatically and is determined by the number of Houzz leads that have progressed to projects. This means the Lead Source is set as "Houzz", and the lead is in the "Won" section on the left-hand side of the All Leads page. The count is not determined by online payments.

It will show up on a Houzz profile and directory listing for any current Houzz Pro Ultimate or Essential pro in all countries.

How to Add Hires on Houzz

The Hires on Houzz count is added automatically once you have enough Houzz leads that have progressed to projects. By default, it will appear when you reach a threshold of 3 hires on Houzz, but you can adjust this threshold in your merit settings.

How to Adjust the Hires on Houzz Count Threshold

If you already have Hires on Houzz listed on your profile, you can adjust the Hires on Houzz count threshold by clicking the pencil icon to the right of your listed merit. You can do this in either your editable profile or on the directory listing.

If you don't have Hires on Houzz listed in your profile, you can adjust the Hires on Houzz count threshold by click on the +Add Merits button.

Here you can choose to display the merit after 5, 10, 20 or 50 Hires on Houzz, or select “Do Not Show” to hide the merit. After making this change, the merit will only show after you hit that specified number (or never, if selected).

Hires on Houzz Accuracy

To keep this count as accurate and fair as possible for the Houzz community, there is a significant penalty for manipulating the leads management system to artificially inflate this number, up to and including the complete removal of the Hires on Houzz count from the profile and directory.
