How Do I Use the Houzz Pro App?

Whether you're in the office, on-site, or on-the-go, the Houzz Pro app makes it easy for you to secure more jobs, manage existing projects, and communicate with your clients and team.

Many of our Houzz Pro features are accessible within the Houzz Pro app, including:

  • Projects: View and edit project details, create new projects, archive projects, view and edit client details, message clients, upload files
  • Leads: View and edit lead details, create new leads, convert to project, archive or delete leads, message leads, upload files
  • Estimates/Proposals: View and edit estimates/proposals, create new estimates/proposals, approve/unapprove, convert to invoice, set up a payment schedule, preview and send
  • Invoices: View and edit invoices, create new invoices, void, preview and send
  • 3D Floor Plans: Complete a 3D room scan and view existing 3D floor plans
  • Mood Boards: View existing mood boards
  • Schedules: View and edit project schedules, create project schedules, view schedule overview of all projects
  • Tasks: View and edit tasks, create new tasks
  • Time and Expenses: View and edit time and expenses, create new time and expenses
  • Time Clocks: View and edit time clocks, clock in and out from app
  • Daily Logs: View and edit daily logs, create new daily logs
How to Navigate the Houzz Pro App

To start using the app, you will first need to download the Houzz Pro app from the App Store or Google Play

Once in the app, use the menu at the bottom of your screen to navigate to the relevant section — the More icon shows a more extensive list of accessible features.

You can also access most features from the homepage directly. Just scroll down the homepage to access projects, leads, schedule, tasks, estimates/proposals and more.

To create new content, select the relevant icon from the Create New menu. You can also select the Create icon from the bottom menu and select the relevant icon to get started.

Manage Projects and Leads

Within the Houzz Pro app, you can view and edit existing projects and leads, as well as create new projects and leads while on-the-go.

Editing capabilities include updating client/contact details, messaging clients or leads, uploading files, archiving projects, archiving or deleting leads, and converting leads to projects. For every project, you can also create new content, including estimates/proposals, invoices, schedules, tasks, 3D floor scans, and more.

Manage Estimates, Proposals and Invoices

Within the Houzz Pro app, you can view and edit existing estimates (build pros), proposals (design pros) and invoices, as well as create a new document for a client or lead.

Editing capabilities include updating document details, adding items, setting markup or sales tax, scheduling payments, attaching files, previewing and sending to clients, and more.

Manage 3D Floor Plans

Within the Houzz Pro app, you can create a 3D floor plan by using the 3D room scanner or view existing 3D floor plans. At this time, you are not able to edit an existing 3D floor plan in the app.

Manage Mood Boards

Within the Houzz Pro app, you can view and share an existing mood board, but you are not able to edit or create a new mood board at this time.

Manage Schedules

Within the Houzz Pro app, you can view and edit existing schedules for any project, as well as create a new schedule.

Editing capabilities include adding specific line items, creating dependencies, adding start dates, assigning clients or team members, marking items as complete, and creating tasks. You can view your project's schedule in list or calendar view. To get a high-level, big picture perspective, you can also view the schedule overview, which will show all your projects together in one calendar view.

Manage Tasks

For tasks, you can view and edit existing tasks, as well as create new tasks.

Editing capabilities include adding a due date, assigning clients or team members, linking to your project schedule, adding a description, adding attachments, marking as complete or adding comments. You can either view the tasks for one individual project, or you can view a comprehensive list of all tasks due for all your projects together.

Manage Time Clocks and Time and Expenses

Within the Houzz Pro app, you can view, edit and create time and expense entries. You can also track your time on a project by using the stopwatch — you can clock in, clock out, edit and log your time while on-the-go.

Manage Daily Logs

Within the Houzz Pro app, you can view, edit and create daily logs to keep track of progress on a project. You can also comment on daily logs, share with the client or your team, and delete or duplicate if you want to reuse a specific format.
