How to Add a Project Highlight Video to Your Houzz Profile
The Project Highlight Video feature on Houzz Pro lets you professionally display your project's photos in a visual way that homeowners can watch. By showcasing the project details in a video format, it allows homeowners to see the quality of your work and increases your chances of getting hired.
Each Project Highlight Video is created from the project photos you already have on your Houzz profile — all you need to do is add in a few details, and you’ll be ready for homeowners to watch it.

How to Create a Project Highlight Video
To create a Project Highlight Video, go to your profile edit screen, then click on the Projects tab. You will see a list of all your projects. For the relevant project, click on the three dots icon, then select Add Project Highlight Video from the dropdown menu.
You can also create a video by clicking on the project and selecting Create Video at the top of your project overview page.
You will then be able to select from a wide variety of templates. The video templates vary by pace and music, which you can change at any time.
Click on a template to Preview the template, or click Select to move forward on the customization process.
In edit mode, you are able to make changes to all aspects of your project video.
At the bottom of your screen, you can adjust the slides that appear by either deleting them with the red X, restoring them if they were removed, or selecting them to edit the slide details.
Once you are on a slide, you can:
- Select a new photo or video on the left side of your screen
- Edit the text on the left side of your screen
- Adjust the music at the top right of your screen
- Crop the slide
- Click the play button to preview the slide
- Use the arrows to the left and right of the slide to move to the next slide
You can preview the entire project video by clicking Preview on the bottom right of your screen. If you are happy with how it looks, click Publish.
After your video is created and processed, it will then appear on your Houzz profile under that individual project.
How to Edit a Project Highlight Video
If you want to make changes to your existing Project Highlight Video, you can do this at any time. Go to the relevant project, then click the pencil icon at the top right of your project video.
A new screen will appear with a preview of your existing video. Click Edit to make changes, or click Unpublish if you want to completely remove the video.
If you click Edit, you will open edit mode, where you will be able to change the template and customize the content as needed. Be sure to click Publish once complete.
