Valance is mounted on a top board. Shimmering khaki fabric with a black contrast banding, pleats and buttons was just what this kitchen needed. Trapezoid windows may present a challenge for window treatments, contrarily they exhibit their own stunning uniqueness. Plantation shutters are a superb option for trapezoid shaped windows. The tilting feature is most helpful for the room’s light control. Accompanying the shutters is a box pleated valance in large stripe faux silk fabric, repeated on the underlying full closure draperies. The full closure draperies and full closure sheers additionally function in the room’s sun exposure. Applied to the top of the valance is a decorative rope welt, and the bottom contains a decorative open weave band, accentuating the valance single-handedly. The defined geometric shapes of the shutters, valance and draperies naturally compliment the rooms’ multitude of curvilinear furnishings. Altogether, this treatment greatly coalesces with entire bedroom.

This elegant townhouse is rich in detail and has traditional and contemporary elements which adds a timeless appeal. A mix of oriental and transitional area rugs provide the groundwork for which each room . We provided an interesting mix of patterns and textures on the pillows and upholstery to add excitement to the basically neutral space, with pops of color. Custom molding was applied to the dining room ceiling that is right off the entry. No one enters without commenting on this element. As elegant as it looks the client wanted a comfortable feel and was extremely happy with the results.

This is a simple corner pleat valance with narrow braid detail, mounted on French doors. The valance conceals the cellular shade when raised.

A simple valance to frame the window with a large 4" tape trim with a raised tiny pattern was just the right touch in this bathroom with clean lines. The fabric was a solid white and the border gray. Wallpaper was a vinyl grascloth look with a slight shimmer in gray. Beautiful!
