LIgne Roset - PETER MALY 2 designer: Peter Maly Peter Maly bed is aimed squarely at those whose prioritize the comfort, originality, and aesthetic design of their bed. This bed is ideal for those whose preference is a pared-down bedroom offering copious amounts of space for rest and relaxation. Just the same, in a small loft or studio, the Maly bed could also be used as a welcoming space for entertaining or relaxing. The Maly bed's construction is based around a vast central platform (slatted base, mattress, and bedding) that is soft and supple surrounded by horizontal planes that give it a more rigorous geometric effect. The pillow and headboard cushions slide freely around the bed frame, allowing for a multitude of different positions - there is no set way the bed should be used.

Six generations of Sauters have owned the Sauter piano firm since 1819, currently run by Ulrich Sauter in southern Germany. Producing approximately 800 verticals and 120 Sauter grand pianos each year, their factory is situated at the foot of the Alps. Structural and acoustical parts are made of high-quality woods, including solid Bavarian spruce soundboards and beech pinblocks. Actions are made by Renner, and Sauter makes its own keys. The keybed is reinforced with steel to prevent warping, and all pianos are fully tropicalized for humid climates. The larger Sauter upright pianos use an action, designed and patented by Sauter, that contains an auxiliary jack spring to aid in faster repetition. The company has made versions of its 48″ upright and 6′ 11″ and 7′ 6″ grands with cabinets designed by the famous European designer Peter Maly. Some recent designs include the 48″ upright Vitrea, after the Latin word for glass, with a veneer of greenish glass covering the front of the cabinet. Sauter pianos are high-quality instruments with a lush, full, singing tone, closer to an “American” sound than most other European pianos. This house is sited on the steep, north facing slope of Snow King Mountain. The main living spaces are located on the top level to take advantage of the sweeping views of the Tetons and National Elk Refuge. Arrival at this top level is through a stair atrium generously illuminated with skylights, which filter daylight throughout the interior – critical to a site deep in the trees with no direct sun during the winter months.

Ligne Roset Mon Repos www.Softsquare.com In the case of this armchair, Peter Maly has chosen to oppose the circular shape of the back, which is feminine, welcoming and comfortable, with the rigor of the squared-off solid wood legs and their promise of solidity and stability. In a clever game of counterpoint, the woven webbing of the rounded back sketches out a pattern of small interconnected squares whilst the structure of the solid wood base follows the curve of the back. Finally, the geometric rigor of the seat's construction is in opposition to the unstructured freedom offered by the feather-filled back cushions, which can be arranged and used as desired to optimize the comfort on offer.
