Sunroom - large traditional sunroom idea in Nashville with a standard ceiling

Imagine your outdoor space looking this inviting. You will be the envy of friends, family, and neighbors. Entertain in style with a remote controlled pergola that opens and closes. When closed, it protects your patio from rain, blazing hot sun, and UV radiation. When partially open it allows the escape of heat, while still shading space. When open enjoy the view of a cloudy day or starry night with friends. Opened, it allows warming solar energy and beneficial sunshine into home and onto patio.
Materials are made from extruded aluminum that will withstand up to 182 mph wind speeds, hail, and snow. Components are powder coated to prevent fade, rust, or corrosion. No painting is ever necessary. Four standard colors to chose from or 200 custom colors.
Keep the party going even when weather threatens to take it inside. These South Carolina home owners love their new space for dining outside by the stone fireplace, enjoying a morning cup of coffee, or relaxing during a cool rain.

Light control on roof top patio pergola.
Stainless steel grommets allow rain water to pass through material and remain rust free.
Hand and Velcro ties for stability.
Outdoor fabric resists mildew and stains while filtering out harmful UV radiation.

Look how inviting. Homeowners love entertaining in their cool space. This louvered patio cover opens and closes. When opened it allows warm solar energy and sunshine into home during winter months. When closed it blocks harmful UV Radiation, Sun's Blazing Heat, and Rain. Materials are made from extruded aluminum and powder coated. Never paint again.

Create an oasis like this one in your own backyard with an American Louvered Roof Patio Cover. Experience 15 - 20 degrees cooler underneath. When closed, it blocks, heat, sun glare, UV Radiation, and rain. When partially opened, it allows the escape of hot air, while still blocking sun. Open to enjoy a beautiful starry night, an overcast day, or warm solar rays during cooler months.
Create that outdoor room you always dreamed of with this state of the art patio cover that operates by remote. Sun when you want it and Shade when you need it.
Made in the USA by Cardinal Aluminum in Louisville, Kentucky. Keep the party going even after the weather takes a turn for the worse.

This patio was extended and covered to allow better use by the homeowners. Prior to covering and enclosing with ClearView Motion Solar Screens the afternoon sun prevented dinning or lounging in the backyard. The traditional porch roof blocks the over head sun during early afternoon and the 85% UV radiation block solar screens keep out hot late afternoon sun and heat. The homeowners now enjoy afternoon dinners at this lovely table free from heat, sun glare, UV exposure, and insects. The pebble colored solar screens coupled with the UL wet listed fan cools the space by 10 - 15 degrees.
This space is not only more functional and enjoyed, it is a delight to see. It compliments the home's contemporary design.

The covered space is 26' wide x 16' projection with gutter system for capturing rain water and connecting downspouts to under home piping to avoid rain water in yard.
The awning cover opens and closes with a handheld remote. When closed it protects your patio from rain, heat, and UV radiation. When open it allows warming sunshine onto deck and into home during cooler months. The homeowner loves to open louvered patio cover when the sun moves to front of home in afternoon. This allows light back into home, but not direct heat and sun glare. A traditional shingle roof would permanently block sunlight and solar energy into home and make the space dark. Only the American Louvered Roof Patio Cover allows such flexibility to have sun when you want it and shade when you need it. At night a starry sky can be enjoyed as well. When opened it's like not having any cover at all.

Palmetto Outdoor Spaces enclosed this beautiful patio with solar screens that block insects, sun glare, heat, and UV radiation. With a handheld remote, screens are directed to open or close by the touch of a button.
Open the screens to allow easy access to yard or view. These homeowners are not locked in by a traditional screened patio. When the early morning sun is on the front side of home, screens are opened to enjoy quick access to backyard. As late afternoon sun starts warming the space, screens are closed to block heat and glare. Biting insects that emerge in the evening are kept at bay when screens are closed as well.

This patio awning opens to allow sunlight into home and onto patio during cooler months and cooler parts of the day. The homeowners didn't want to loose sunlight by building a traditional roof over their deck; so they chose the American Louvered Roof,
When closed it protects their patio from heat, rain, and UV Radiation. It is remote control operated.
The louvers can be partially opened to allow escape of hot air. The addition of the UL Wet Listed outdoor fan and ability to open partially creates a space that is 15 - 20 degrees cooler underneath. No other patio cover can do this.
The homeowners now have a sleeping porch that is perfect for afternoon naps. They also have the perfect outdoor dining area that allows meals during any part of the day.

Inspired by the multi-functional performance of a shell structure in nature, the design of this two-bedroom, two-bath ADU explored a performance-based roof geometry that becomes the building façade and privacy screen. Coupled with deep roof overhangs, this second skin allows dappled light to penetrate the interior during the day while reflecting the detrimental UV radiation on the southern exposure. The perforations in the second skin are based on the effects of the sun path on the southern exposure and the location of the windows behind the screen. At night, the interior light glows through the perforations, contributing to the name of the project, “LuminOCity”.
Orange Coast College and UC Irvine formed a partnership called "Team MADE" to enter the 2023 Orange County Sustainability Decathlon. "MADE" is an acronym for Modular, Affordable Dwellings for the Environment. LuminOCity won second place in the competition and 9 awards in various categories. Following the competition, the home was donated to Homeless Intervention Services, Orange County, where it serves as an ADU on an existing property to provide transitional housing for youth experiencing housing insecurities.
This 750sf prefabricated, modular home is built on four, eight foot wide modules that nest together. The building system is predicated on a software-to-manufacturing pipeline called the FrameCAD Machine. This roll-former for light-gauge steel allowed Team MADE to prototype as well as site-manufacture every stud and track in the steel-framed home they would design. Over 100 student volunteers aided in the construction of the steel framing, MEP installation, building envelope, and site work. The use of prefabricated Light Gauge Steel allowed for higher construction tolerances with simplified assembly diagrams that could be followed by student volunteers. Joseph Sarafian, AIA was the lead architect as well as one of four faculty advisors on the project, leading the design of the project from conception to completion.
