Diagnostic Service Call | Gilbert, AZ Client: Ganesh Location: Gilbert, AZ Scope of Work: No-cool diagnostic, electrical troubleshooting, referral to licensed electrician Ganesh called us because his system would click but never actually start up. The indoor fan ran and moved air, but no cooling ever came. That symptom points in a few different directions, so our technician worked through the system methodically. The outdoor condenser unit was not receiving high voltage power at all. Tracing it back, the breaker serving that system had failed. Here is where we stopped. A failed breaker is electrical panel work, which belongs with a licensed electrician rather than an HVAC technician. We explained the finding to Ganesh, told him exactly what to have the electrician do, and left it there. We could have kept looking for something to sell. The honest answer was that his HVAC equipment was fine and the problem sat upstream of it. Once the breaker is replaced, we are happy to come back and verify the system is operating properly. Ganesh, thank you for calling us out and for the straightforward conversation. System clicking but not starting?
