Kid's Bunk Room - The bunk room is the brainchild of the Home Owner. Four built-in TVs operated through headsets for ultimate viewing control are a favorite feature of the grandchildren. Double bunks on the bottom and singles on the top mean this room can comfortably sleep six. Each bed features monogrammed pillows. Bailey, the family dog, waits patiently next to a Stanley dresser crafted in deep-toned cerused wood. The en-suite bathroom beyond features a walk-in shower and personalized towel hooks for its young guests.

This project won in the 2013 Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Housing Excellence Award for Best Urban Renewal Renovation Project. The glass bowl was made in the glass studio owned by the owner which is adjacent to the residence. The mirror is a repurposed window. The door is repurposed from a boarding house. George Mendel

This Master Bedroom is a collection of meaningful artwork and tapestries combined with new pieces to achieve a cohesive eclectic look. Originally the space was void of any color or personality. A rich warm toffee tone on the wall created an inviting palette to launch the design. The bed was the first piece that was found by the client who waited patiently while craftsmen built it out of forged iron. From there the bedding, rug, and drapery were chosen to elevate this space with rich luxurious velvets and bold patterns to complete the look.

When we first saw this Brooklyn patio garden, it didn’t have a lot of room for plantings that were within arm’s reach. Our re-design included multi-level paver retaining walls that could hold a lush, varied assortment of new plantings. We really enjoyed personalizing the plantings for our client on this project. Since she is a doula, who assists women during childbirth, she specifically requested herbs that she could use to help the pregnant women she treats.
