Ulrich Desginer: Don DiNovi, CKD Photography by Peter Rymwid This lovely new kitchen incorporates defined work areas to accommodate the multi-tasking activities of a busy family. Four work stations fit and function easily and beautifully in a tidy 300 SF space: (1) cooking, including separate gas and electric cooking surfaces; (2) prep/cleaning, on the island; and (3) food storage, in the cherry wood armoire concealing both refrigerator and pantry. (4) is the area between the food storage and double ovens (around the corner from the formal serving hutch) and is devoted to baking.

Ulrich designer: Julia Kleyman Photography by Peter Rymwid This grand Saddle River kitchen was created in support of the Hackensack University Medical Center Designer Showhouse of New Jersey in 2012. The new design transformed a dreary and dated 80's kitchen into a functional, comfortable and eye-pleasing space with clean transitional lines and touches of traditional charm in its detail. The rich brown finish of the island cabinetry gives the room warmth, and juxtaposes in lovely contrast the white cabinetry of the perimeter. Large pendant lights add modern "bling" and balance the large room.

View of kitchen into Wet Bar. Wet Bar also features the Alexandria Recessed door style on Maple and a Vintage Putty finish. Wall cabinets have glass fronts with X-mullion doors. The island features the Alexandria Raised door style on Walnut with a Classic finish. Caesarstone countertops throughout the kitchen; the wet bar features a Mahogany wood top by Grothouse Lumber Co. Thermador range paired with a beautiful Rangecraft hood. Flooring by Crosswille. All cabinets featured are inset by Wood-Mode 42.

All Wood-Mode cabinetry featuring three different door styles: Vanguard MDF on both islands, Vanguard Stainless Steel on back wall and Vanguard Plus Vertical Veneer on all perimeter cabinets. Kitchen design is finished off with Zodiiaq countertops on island, Granite on cooktop wall, and stainless steel steel on appliance wall. All appliances are SubZero Wolf. Ulrich designer: Bonnie Hufnagel, CKD Photography by Peter Rymwid To make this small kitchen work-flow really work and to add storage. The original kitchen had the refrigerator sticking out into the kitchen passage area. We installed a built-in Sub-Zero model that only projected to counter depth, and to install a custom wood panel on it matching the cabinetry. This made the refrigerator look like the cabinets and reduced its visual presence. We also moved the range to the center of the side wall space which provided 4 feet of prep area on either side of the range. The soffits were removed from overhead and the cabinets were brought to the ceiling around the kitchen perimeter to gain more storage space.
