Yes, but many are stacked. not one cabinet with one door. Any comments or examples for or against a 51" tall wall cabinet with a simple shaker style door would be appreciated.

Main concern here is warpage of the extra tall door stiles. Having made a few tall cabinets in the shop, I can offer a few suggestions. Since they will be custom made, have the cabinet maker use 5/4 vs 4/4 stock ( Finish thickness will be 11/8") Use fast drying oil based -either primer or clear finish- applied both sides at once.On installation use 3 hinges . Swing side use 3 clear bumperstops with 2 hidden magnetic stops. Used this system with hard maple doors 50" H by 14" W with no problems to date. Good luck!
