Recessed light size?

Can you tell me the size of the recessed lights? Is it a 6" or 4" housing...or something different? What size housing do you recommend for 8 foot ceilings?

Hi Eric, I always choose 4" cans when remodeling a kitchen. They are so much nicer in the ceiling since the openings are 2" smaller.

Not sure of your question. Is there another option other than recessed lighting you want me to consider? If not, recessed lighting would be fine.

Not familiar with LED type recessed...what size for this type of room...there will be 5 beams total with 2 against wall and 1 down center to create 8 "quadrants" similar to this pic...

Hi John,

I just did a project similar to the photo. The island was under the center beam, so we dropped the pendants as shown above. We put 4" recessed led's in each quadrant.
