You only showed 1/2 the kitchen. What is the wall like on the side with the table?

We are using a wire rack shelving unit there until we can figure something out. It is only about 6 feet from the wall to the edge of the countertop on the other side.

can you flip your dishwasher to other side of sink, move your stove closer to sink and add a counter in between wall and stove? Perhaps flank the oven with two narrower cabinets.

As for the fridge, can you move it to the wall where the coffee pot is? Can't see that wall well enough to see what you have going on over there. If not, perhaps a narrower model, moved towards your laundry room. Extend that little piece of counter to the fridge.

Or perhaps flip the fridge and stove? Might have a door issue there, although your fridge looks like it would fit underneath those upper cabinets (like it is now) and the depth looks about the same as the oven....

Being that you have the door and window over there, for light, putting the fridge there might just work. And if you move the oven to where the fridge is, and do open shelves, it might solve your problems (if you aren't ready to do a total remodel).

One other idea, which is quite simple, although might be out of the question for you, is to remove your three upper cabinets from the left of the sink. I think that would open up the space over there, but you would be losing lots of storage.

However, you could use open shelves...
