I hate to mention this, but the photos included above as examples of black quartz by M. Rene Designs are a bit misleading unless you are simply trying to see what generic black counters look like. Only one, the Beach Cottage Kitchen, is actually identified by the designer of the kitchen as black quartz. One (York Harbor) is identified as honed black granite, another (Triple Stack) is identified as soapstone, and the other two are not identified by the original designers. So be sure you like the counters in the Beach Cottage Kitchen (which I think are lovely, but a bit different in finish than the others, which have matte finishes) if you are trying to envision the specific look and finish of black quartz.
